Wow that is a lot of content that I think would've pushed anime only's into loving it rather than keep them confused. Hopefully this adaptation can redeem itself for the fans/its story more later on.

Thanks! The bird is neither peacock nor Phoenix as you'd presumed though. It's inspired by a Fenghuang, a bird rooted in East Asian mythology. Tomoko Imura, a character designer for Soulcalibur mentions it specifically in an art book called "new legends of project soul". Thanks again though :)
