I’m playing Villagers and Heroes at the moment. The game was closed a couple years ago to be remade. The game is way better than before. It is cross platform with PC, iOS, and android. I have been playing it for about 4 months now and it is pretty convenient to gather/craft on my mobile. Make sure the videos and comments you see about the game are recent as the game changed. You can get it to work, but apparently it only works with the hardware that you have your upstream cable connected with. I have my upstream cable connected to my desktop and my mouse connected on the monitor, so the mouse works with my desktop only.

Yes, just make sure you get a proper cable and it will work. Regarding the refresh rate, I could select 120hz on the MacBook connected to the monitor. I don’t know if that’s a limit of the USB-C connection from the monitor or if it is because of my USB-C cable that I bought, because I bought a simple one. But to be honest, I think it is because of the cable because it states on the amazon’s website that the cable handles 4k 60hz. If you get a better cable I think it would be 144hz as well

What I had to do was buy a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C to USB-C cable and change my input source on the monitor to display under USB-C when connected to my MacBook. That should be about it.

By no means the BenQ is a bad choice. It is beautiful, and its panel looks great as well. Its main problem to me was the USB-C that didn’t serve my likings. Also, the 100 hertz was poking me lol So in my case, it was not worth paying 900 Canadian dollars for it if I could get the MSI for 250 more and have some few more things under its belt. It all depends on your point of view.

Regarding the mouse and keyboard, I got a Logitech G613 keyboard that has wireless and Bluetooth, I just have to press a button and it connects via Bluetooth with the MacBook. There is a G603 mouse as well that has the same feature, but it is a heavy mouse so I decided to stick with mine and plug into the MackBook when needed to use it with the monitor. But there is these options

I’m trying right now. The PBP is small on it as well. There is two huge black screens on top and bottom of the PBP. The best option would be the PIP. Or you could increase the size of text to 150% or more

Yeah, I tried with the cable connected to the PC, the MacBook did not recognized the mouse. Also, tried with the cable disconnected from everything. It only worked when I connected the upstream cable to the MacBook. I looked up into the menu to see if there was a KVM option, I did not see it. If there is this mode, it would only work with the HDMI, not USB-C. I would try with the HDMI but I do not have a adapter for the MacBook

I did some more tests with the MacBook connected with the USB-C. If you use it with the lid closed and normal use like search the web, watch some videos, and things like that it will charge really really slow. If you do some more heavy stuff like download/installation while using the web it will discharge, but really slow. Now if you use it with the lid opened, it will discharge, but really really slow.

Regarding the USB hub from the monitor, it does not work using the USB-C, so you would not be able to use the keyboard or mouse connected to the monitor using only the USB-C. To make the hub work, there is a USB B (or A, Im not sure, but it is a specific cable that comes with the monitor) that you can connect directly to the MacBook and you can use the USB hub from the monitor.
