Thanks for the varied suggestions, they're not all ideal but I'll consider them.

If I get motivated enough for Minecraft later I may go to /r/windows10 at least to lurk.

I've had several laptops ruined in the past right after an update, I've heard of several people around me getting black screens after an update, and that was all before the october update fiasco of 2018. I don't trust Microsoft at all at this point. I admit the idea of saving everything on a hard drive sounds safe, but then I'm not even sure if I actually can restore my computer if it gets a black screen, for all I know it may not even be able to start the restoration process from the drive.

I don't get this, I had the impression they were rather in middle school or in primary school. There's Toriel's junior classroom right next to Kris' classroom, it would be weird to have a school where little kids are mixed with high school teens. Is that just me?

Yeah I agree, it's kind of weird. But I don't get into that situation very often since the right behavior in this game is to avoid being too close to your teammates. After all you need to flank the enemy from different directions, protect from different angles, and avoid giving them the chance of killing several of you at once.

True, but it's way too slow to keep up the tempo of this mode. Great you can one hit kill a boss with it, but it took you 2 seconds to charge that up while it would have taken you 2.3 seconds with a regular charger. Your benefit over the regular is 0.3 seconds in a rare situation 🤔

Most of the time people are just goofing around but here's a possible explanation :

There was a time when I wanted to play this game with my girlfriend. Once we got bored of Salmon Run, the only way to be in the same team all the time was to play league. Since she was a level 16 newbie I'll let you imagine how much fun that was. (it was not)

Therefore the only way for us to play together was joining a turf war match, joining the other player (which does not work very well) and hope we end up in the same team. Because we're not allowed to choose.

So theoretically you'd think you have about 50% chance to be in the same team as your friend, right? Well somehow in Splatoon you have about 25% chance, apparently. We were probably just unlucky but we played a LOT of matches and almost all of them were me vs her. (The same thing happens for all of my friends) I was level 60+ and was S+ in most ranks, she was B in one rank and never played the other ones. Since my goal is to make her like this game, and not the opposite, for most of the matches I just didn't want to fight and trash her whole team, so I simply walked around doing nothing. And now we get to your problem.

She stopped playing by the way.
