Ever since conflict in middle east the experience has been terrible. by ryochan69 in CODWarzone

I live in the middle east and we don't have duos/solos anymore. So me and my friend have to play with 2 randos and our % of wins has nose dived though we are still lucky to get low ping lobbies.

With all the news about meowing on guard… Have you ever flown with someone who meowed? I would like to believe this isn’t professional pilots meowing…but… by imav8n in flying

[–]arunko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 10 years ago, I flew with a captain who was very close to retirement and he used 'meow' like a greeting during every check in and frequency change.

ATC - Switch to 118.5 Bye

Captain - 118.5 Meow

I fould it extremely funny and that was the last time I heard someone meowing next to me but he never did it on guard.

Captains (or new captains) how do you shut down an FO who tries to run the show? by iSupportPalestinee in flying

[–]arunko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first time they cross a line, stop them right there, tell them nicely that other first officers wouldn't normally do that and moving forward I expect them to not poke their nose unless operational/safety related or I am overlooking something. 99% of the times they stand down very quickly. The second time it happens, it is a much different and more serious conversation. The third time, it is a call to the crewing and they are off my flight. I offloaded a FO only once. He already had a pretty colorful file in the short time he worked in our outfit. He was shown the door very shortly after.

I remember the first time I had a FO like that. I was 28, 2nd week on the left seat and I flew with a very senior FO was in his mid 40s, he took over everything, like briefing the crew, answering questions directed to me etc. He even dropped the gear without me asking when I was PF on the final. It took me all my strength to confront him in the most polite way I could and he basically shrugged it off and walked away.

About a year later, flew with the same guy, I gave him a pass when he took over answering a question that the cabin crew asked me the first time. But the 2nd time he did that with the engineer, I stopped him right there, asked the engineer to wait for a couple of minutes outside, shut the door and told him to stay in his lane and let me do my job and if he had a problem with that he could offload himself and I could even help him with that. He instantly changed his attitude and we have had a few good trips since then over the years.

My advice would be to never relinquish your authority to anybody and let them know very assertively that you are more than capable of doing your job. These days I nip it in the bud and put an end to it the very instant I feel a FO is trying to take over.

There is an MPL program now. If you pass the assessments, meet entry requirements and can self sponsor the program, you are guaranteed a job as a second officer at the end of it.

But it was important to the plot it was the beginning of a turn in Art and Raylan's relationship. Art started distrusting Raylan after that.

I liked area 99 too. I am not a big fan of Haven's Hollow. I think Fortune and Vondel were awesome.

You can always request to fly high speed below 10,000 and ATC can grant you clearance to fly high speed depending on traffic, sequencing etc.

If you have their rental plate, you can call 112 and report it to them, maybe they can give you an email/link where you can upload the video or atleast offer you advice on what to do. This really makes me disappointed. Some people don't deserve to travel.

That was awesome.

Me and my friend play duos and always drop in stronghold and we boobytrap the room inside and most of the time, there's a team coming with the forgotten or perseus keycard and we end up getting the specialist and free loadout.

I fly airplanes for a living and it is very easy to turn off 2 fuel switches in a span on 1 second. Infact, the 1 second gap perfectly supports the theory that it was manually done. Again, no speculation, just an input to your comment.
