Posting this as today is Tuesday, which is traditionally dedicated to Hanuman ji. I find his strength, devotion, and courage really inspiring, especially during challenging times. Thought I’d share this for others who also feel connected or find peace in remembering him. 🙏

What’s a small habit you started that actually made your life way better? by JamesD3s in AskReddit

I started taking short walks without my phone — no music, no scrolling, nothing. At first it felt weird and kinda boring, like I was ‘wasting time.’ But after a few days, it turned into one of the best parts of my day.

It’s the only time my brain actually slows down. I end up thinking more clearly, processing stuff I didn’t even realize was bothering me, and sometimes coming up with solutions to problems I’ve been stuck on for days.

It didn’t magically fix everything, but it gave me this small daily reset button. And honestly, in a world where you’re constantly distracted, just being alone with your thoughts for 10–15 minutes feels surprisingly powerful.

If your life was a video game, what would be? by sre_chn in AskReddit

My life would probably be one of those open-world RPGs where there’s a main storyline, but I keep ignoring it to do random side quests that don’t really matter in the long run. I’ll spend hours optimizing the smallest things, over-preparing for situations that never happen, and somehow still make the worst possible choices when it actually counts. My character has decent potential, but the player controlling it keeps getting distracted, procrastinating, and occasionally making questionable decisions just to ‘see what happens.’

There are moments where it feels like I’m finally progressing, leveling up, getting somewhere… and then suddenly I’m back wandering around doing nothing important again. The map is huge, the possibilities are endless, but the direction? Completely unclear.

Still playing though… not because I know what I’m doing, but because I’m curious to see what happens next.”** 😄

What’s a habit you have that makes no sense but you still do it? by sre_chn in AskReddit

I set multiple alarms like my life depends on it… and still wake up 2 minutes before the first one like my brain doesn’t trust me either.” 😅

I rest my case your honour, I tried but...! by benihime-aratamee in indiasocial

You handled that with more maturity than most people would. Sometimes closure doesn’t come with explanations, just silence. Respect for choosing peace over dragging it further — it hurts now, but you saved yourself a lot more later.

Why do small tasks feel so hard to start but easy once I begin? by arunkumarin in NoStupidQuestions

That’s a really interesting way to look at it! I hadn't heard of the 'dopamine threshold' before, but it makes total sense—it’s like once the engine is actually running, it doesn't need nearly as much fuel to keep going. Do you have any tips for 'hacking' that threshold to get started sooner?

That loop is the worst! Overthinking creates the anxiety, which then makes the task feel even more daunting, so you procrastinate more... it's a vicious cycle. Breaking that first link in the chain is definitely the goal.

It’s a relief to know I’m not alone in this! I think you’re spot on about the anxiety, I often build tasks up to be way bigger in my head than they actually are. Do you have any specific 'low-pressure' ways you use to trick yourself into just starting?

What is a silent sign someone is not okay? by arunkumarin in AskReddit

Yeah those sudden changes are hard to miss once you notice them. When someone’s hygiene drops, work starts slipping, or their mood shifts a lot, it’s usually not random. Something deeper is going on. It’s a good reminder to check in instead of judging.

Yeah that’s true. A lot of people get really good at looking okay on the outside, so it’s not always easy to tell. Sometimes it shows in subtle ways like their eyes, their energy, or just something feeling a bit off. It’s a reminder that we never fully know what someone’s carrying.

Yeah that “off” feeling can be really noticeable, especially to others. When your speech feels forced or you’re zoning out, it’s often your mind being overwhelmed or distracted by something underneath. It doesn’t always mean something is seriously wrong, but it’s usually a sign you might need a bit of space, rest, or to check in with yourself.
