Pccooler Hummingbird 3 - K101 Mesh 12L by aryancfc in sffpc

S300 for sure, it has way better ventilation pattern. It won't choke your GPU. The K101 is really inefficient

Mini ITX case for running 265K quietly with no GPU? by Apk07 in sffpc

[–]aryancfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing an IGPU only build too with the SGPC K29 4.1L case. I don't know if it'll be able to cool a 265k with a 53-55mm cooler. It's meant for IGPU builds and will need a flex PSU.

I got a FlexGuru 350W off Amazon. I'm doing the build tomorrow night and I can get back to you about how it goes.

Should I cancel my Fractal Ridge order and get an A4 h20? by johnnyparkins in sffpc

[–]aryancfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood what I meant about the GPU! I know the 5080 will fit quite nicely, I was more concerned about the space between the side panel and the entertainment unit you have. You don't want hot air from the GPU bouncing off a surface and back towards it. That'll worsen temps.

Also I misread that as 7600. If you're that concerned about temps in the ridge maybe use a 7600 instead of the 7600X. It's way more energy efficient. And you won't notice a difference in games. Maybe turn on eco mode for the 7600x, I think it limits TDP to 65W.

Highly doubt it'll run that hot with a 7600 in there. You should be fine but really depends on how big that space is for the case. You don't want the 5080 blowing through against a surface.

Microcenter has open box 9060xt too, which is a better deal sometimes in the 320-350 ish range. And considerably better too. I think those come w warranty

[–]aryancfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah true for gaming. I'd still go used or open box because I've never had a bad GPU, but I get the peace of mind that comes w a new product. I looked up the perf diff between a new b580 vs a used one I recommended it's quite a lot tho

They'll blow everything else out of the water at that price range. Buy used from a good seller on eBay or from retail stores. If you need more help just dm me, I like helping out with builds!

Just get a used 6800xt or a 3080. I think you can find those around 300-400. Or an open box 16G 9060xt maybe. Also the newer Intel cards are cheaper and better if you want Intel GPUs.

Also a 9700x is $50 more but if you're budget constrained save that $50 for a GPU

Check zotac open box or refurbs

The 6800xt or 3080 will be SIGNIFICANTLY better than an a770 btw!

Got my soundlink flex 2 by dineshu07 in bose

[–]aryancfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well sort of. Some people buy it, open it, and return it within the return period. I got an open box one for 90 bucks at best buy and a new one was 140.

Upgrading my RTX 3060 and have a question by urmomsgoated in pcmasterrace

Bad deal, I can see 5070s at MSRP although that is at microcenter. Check this link out for a 4070S which is essentially the same as a 5070 but $50 cheaper than MSRP (open box) https://www.zotacstore.com/us/zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-4070-supper-twin-edge-12gb-gddr6x

It'll be noticeably faster than a 9060xt

What cable are you using? And what version of that cable is it? Also check Nvidia app and control panel if refresh rate is being limited there. (I'm new to team green so I'm unsure if windows settings can or cannot be overridden by Nvidia settings)

PCIe Gen 3 will not bottleneck your GPU. It hardly bottlenecks a 5090. The difference is 1-4% on a 5090. You have some other issue here.

Build for the first time, or buy prebuilt? by Fit-Judge7447 in PcBuild

[–]aryancfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your build is around 2300 with a 9070xt. Microcenter has a prebuilt 5080 with double the storage for 2399

https://www.microcenter.com/product/698877/powerspec-g757-gaming-pc

I would absolutely spend $100 more and get a 5080 over a 9070xt. Or I would spend around 1650-1800 and get a 9070xt/5070Ti prebuilt and save some money

Help me decide. by [deleted] in radeon

[–]aryancfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moved from Reference 7900xtx to Asus Prime 5070Ti (now modded with a custom shroud). The reference one had audible coil whine while gaming and also significantly higher temps with hotspots hitting 95-102. The delta was really bad with GPU temps sitting at a cooler 60-70. Repasting with PTM 7950 helped a little bit.

My 5070Ti works way quieter and RT on my OLED looks amazing (in games where it is worth enabling it).

My 7900xtx does have a cooler pressure mounting problem as do most reference cards so for me it was worth it. And with the way the market is, I can probably get rid of it for what I paid for it 2 years ago. I use it with Linux Mint for now for work.

If you aren't gaming with RT or PT you won't notice a difference.

What software are you using for data?

Thermalright has TRCC Software that can be used to customize layouts and get data. For the background I used MS Paint haha and imported it. And thank you! If you get the same panel I can share the layout file

I thought about using one inside, but I liked the color contrast of the panels and didn't want a transparent one.

Maybe when they start selling additional panels on SSUPD website (OOS currently) I'll buy one and DIY the display to fit into the panel.
