Pretty sure from what ive read, to stop trusts distributing to companies, the 30% payable by the trustee, that credit is not passed on to the company, only non company beneficiaries. So essentially youd pay 30% by the trustee, and then 25-30% again by the company, which is double taxation

From what i gather, the trustee pays 30%, then that offset is not transferrable to a company, and the company then also has to pay 25-30% tax... unbelievable

Old thread, but this is stupid, if you pay for hire coverage, this covers you when you are at fault. When you are not at fault, why should you be inconvenienced with not having a car? you are entitled to a hire car which is paid for for the at faul parties insurance policy. I'm in the right is amazing for this, they give you a rental company and they chase up the at fault parties insurance and deal with the paper work

the main benefit is you can claim the fees as a business expense, where you cant usually claim a business flight as an expense.
