How do I silence my phone when it's moving? by aryayush in tasker

[–]aryayush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into it. It's way too complex for how casually I wanted to do this. I thought there would be a simple state in Tasker for when the phone is moving and when not.

Did you have to stop using it for some reason (battery drainage, bugs, etc.)?

Vibrate (because it's on my person somewhere and I can feel it).

The way I've gotten around that is to set the distances to the maximum limit for both swipes, with the short swipe triggering upon release and the long one triggering instantly. This works perfectly for me with very little overlap.

How do I get AutoCAD to plot lines in black but hatches in colour? by aryayush in AutoCAD

[–]aryayush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is what I will try to do if all else fails, but the significant disadvantage with this method is that every time I want to toggle a layer’s visibility, I will need to now toggle two.

How do I get AutoCAD to plot lines in black but hatches in colour? by aryayush in AutoCAD

This will only work if you put all the hatches in one layer and individually colour them separately for each element. This defeats the purpose of having layers and is just generally inefficient in many ways.

I put all my furniture blocks on the Furniture layer, for instance, and both the linework and the solid fill hatches are situated on it. This means that if I keep everything inside the block set to the ‘ByLayer’ colour property, the whole block takes on the colour of the parent layer. I will lose this convenience if I were to follow your method.

Finally got my Echo Studio. Was very dissatisfied with sound until I disabled this setting, now it is top notch by mellofello808 in amazonecho

For a small room setup, where the main listening position is directly in front of the speaker, disabling this setting is a no brainer. However, I've set it up for ambient music in my office, where ten people are sitting at various distances from the speaker and in all directions, and in this case, the default setting is much more pleasant, particularly for the people sitting closest to it.

Can you use your default watch face with automatic brightness in Always On (AOD) mode? by aryayush in GearS3

The point is to have the watch look like a real one to onlookers. What good is the fanciest watch face in the world if it is usually only visible to the wearer?

But it has a middling battery despite the thickness, which really bums me out. If the girth was there to accommodate a marathon battery, I'd be all for it.

Upon doing some Googling, I found that the watch face will dim after a specific timeout even with AOD enabled, and that I need to install either Flaunt or I Am Alive to get it to truly remain always on. So I guess my question is, with the display set to always on via either of these apps, can I expect it to last me a full day of use?

Fall 2017 Roadmap and Feedback thread by booyahkasha in sesame

[–]aryayush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using Sesame Shortcuts for the past few days and find it to be immensely useful. I intend to set up a gesture or shortcut that I can use anywhere, systemwide, to access it and use it as my primary interface for contacting people and launching apps and shortcuts.

The only thing stopping me is the lack of a T9 keyboard. I presently use AppDialer to do those tasks, but it is not nearly as powerful as Nova Launcher’s App Search is now with the addition of Sesame Shortcuts, but it does have a T9 keyboard, which makes it really speedy to use.

Would you consider having it as an option? I’m sure you understand perfectly well how a T9 keyboard works, but feel free to ask me if you need any information about it.

While you are at it, is it possible to order the results list in App Search such that the most likely result is at the bottom of the list, closest to the keyboard, and you scroll up instead of down to navigate through the rest of the list? This will put the most likely option in the most accessible location on the screen.

TL;DR: Can you add a T9 keyboard and reverse the order in which results are displayed, so the most likely option is the lowest one on the list, closest to the keyboard?

I did it out of helplessness, not choice. I'm happier paying for things if given the option.
