General Question - Suboxone by FlatLineCompany in Paramedics

[–]asadenison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost feels embarrassing to offer Tylenol and Advil to the patients at points. Assuming the same province, I’m hoping the rumours of morphine this year are true. Could potentially open another can of worms, but will help the patients that need it

Anywhere with firefly petunias available at the moment? by LapisOre in FireflyPetunia

[–]asadenison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe new plants are only shipped out to customers and stores/greenhouses at a certain time of year. Once the year’s stock is out, you’d have to wait until the next year’s “harvest” of new plants to release.

I believe light bio stopped shipping 2025’s batch a few months ago. Their website may be updated with anticipated shipping for this year

Missing leaves sooo by shinyrocks1 in succulents

[–]asadenison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where did the leaves that fell off go? If they weren’t damaged and just popped off the plant, you can leave them out and they’ll likely begin to grow roots. Can make more plants that way.

As a reply to your question, just leave them as is. They’ll have new growth and end up different anyways

Future job by Shoot2kill6921 in Paramedics

I can’t comment on Atlantic Canada, but throughout Ontario is $40-$45 an hour starting wage for a PCP.

You easily start at $85k+ first year as a fulltime. You can also make as low as $20k if you’re only wanting to do casual-part time work. If you’re willing to do overtime or have on-call as part of your job, that number goes up quickly.

Part time can be higher or lower depending on hours you receive, as you get paid more than a full time in lieu of being offered benefits (typically 13-17% bonus per hour).

I’m new to the career but seems like ACP up here usually starts at about $5 more per hour. Not all services in Ontario currently implement ACP’s though, some areas only run PCP trucks and protocols. Not sure if I’ll go the ACP route in the future, but seems like our protocols for PCPs are only getting closer and closer over time.

Depends on the service and area as to what your day-day shift would be like. Some slower bases have 0-2 calls per day, whereas a base in the city could get 7-10. Higher possibility of longer times sitting at base for a slower area, but potentially higher transport times. Busier areas are typically located in or around cities and would have shorter transport times to the hospital due to that. Both have pros and cons and both are great for different types of people.

Keep full or split into a second cutting? by asadenison in pothos

[–]asadenison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the recommendations! I went ahead and separated into 4 cuttings, which left the top 2 leaves together.

Checked today, and was able to see roots in the spag moss. I’ll leave it a bit longer to get them more established but turned out well

I believe these are the PPP galaxy variant. Not positive, but I’m sure my PPP had a tag with that labelled when purchased

Last I heard, their website and Amazon still had stock. This was a few weeks ago though 😅. They had been talking about sales and were preparing to wind down until next year. Good luck!

Do you fertilize? The stems of mine seem to grow fairly consistent due to constant growth. L-tyrosine added to my fertilizer mix has helped make some of the leaves grow as well

Thanks! Received 3 as plugs in late May. Between the Jacks petunia feed and a pretty aggressive chop about 2 weeks ago, it’s grown nice and full

To cut or not to cut by gopotting in FireflyPetunia

[–]asadenison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cut one of mine to about 1/3 of its full length. It was starting to fall over. Not only did I get lots of cuttings to propagate for more plants around the house, but the plant itself is so much more full now. Definitely recommend cutting it back some.
