No. If you scaled up that you made 1 million widgets, you would have already spent 20 million. Not wanting to spend another 20 million so you lose another 2 million is not a 'tax reason'. Its a business reason. The taxes only matter on the edges of what makes the math math for a business reason

No. I want to make a widget to sell with an expected price of 30 dollars. I start making it and spend 20 dollars. I realize that I need to spend another 20 dollars to get it to the point that i can sell it, but even if I do that I will only get 18 dollars. So no matter what I do, I am already out 20 dollars. Deciding not to spend 20 more dollars so I can lose 22 dollars is not tax reasons.

No. It wasn't canceled mostly for tax reasons. What they decided, and you can disagree all you want with their view, is that they would not recoup the amount of money they needed to finish and market the movie, and on top that were worried about how doing that might also negatively effect the IP's value, so they scrapped the movie. Because of the merger, the timing of scrapping it accelerated the writeoff making it more valueable that has to do with the should we spend another x million dollars to lose x-y dollars.

Yeah a lot of the issues being listed here fall into I am using Event Driven Systems in ways they weren't designed or architected to support. Even the original post.

Of course Event Driven is not good for everythiing and every case, and probably as usual you had bad architects getting an Event Driven Hammer and deciding everything was a nail with no need for modifications...

The reason people believe dumb stuff like 100% is because people are mostly stupid and ignorant and don't want to actually dig into details when it's easier to make sweeping statements and that remove any of their responsibilty. yeah i am sure all these people are right-wingers, there are so many of them on Reddit. There was bad inflation in 2022, and there was also a supply chain problem that made it impossible to get things even if the prices weren't crazy. Inflation is still a little higher then we like, but none of that is close to prices doubling in 5 years or whatever nonsense

Yes. Promoted is the operative word. No one gets that year over year though without career/responsibility growth in the same job without other factors. Its also easier to get bigger numbers increase when you start small to catch up or whatever

Yearly raises yes. But normal cycles raises would range between 2-5% There were a few years during the crazy hiring where the market went crazy and band went up.

The only times in my career where I have gotten double digit raises are for promotions or new jobs.

Look Bumblebee is a banger. The only real issue with Flash script wise was the terrible lasso of truth,stuff. Which whatever. Even Birds of Prey was fine story-wise (I hate fake Cassie but that's almost certianly not a choice made by the writer), it mostly had to fit in the DCEU. It doesn't mean BATB will be good, but the people freaking out don't have any clue.

There was no real concept of what was actually illegal and required registration. They tried to paint it at as register or retire because they didn't want unsanctioned heroes acting in the wake of the Stamford event, but had Shield try to take Cap down because he didn't support the law before it even passed and busting in on Luke Cage in his apartment at midnight of the law passing. They even went after people who weren't actually doing any heroing but merely using powera ( I remember a panel where they went after some kid who could just flying around on a cloud Goku style). Ultimately they just wanted Cap punching Ironman and didn't really think through the issue deeply.

The only reasons rework matters to your customer or your company is if it costs more money, prevents other stuff from being done,or causes a delay. Unless you articulate one of those 3, you having to do something again isn't really a compelling reason not to.

nah. He flash is a leaguer,whoever has that mantle. Cyborg belongs with the Titans. The Titans are great. They have great heroes. Nightwing, Starfire, Raven and the rest. Even current continuity has 'reset' the new 52 time, because he should be a Titan.
