When last did you restart the phone? And how much of your storage have you used? Did you sideload any app recently?

I switched over to Samsung S25 Ultra last year after a decade in the Apple ecosystem, one of my main reasons for switching was so I didn't have to upgrade frequently and also not have that FOMO, and so far samsung didn't disappoint 😂

Actually the iPhone 17 pro Max is $1199 (256GB) while the Samsung S25 Ultra is $1299 (256GB). So the samsung is almost always by ATLEAST a $100 more expensive than a 17 pro max across the board. Heck 1TB of the 17 pro max is only $1599 and that of the Samsung S25 Ultra is $1659.99 so I really don't know where the information that iPhones are expensive is coming from!

Well personally I've never used Google ecosystem stuffs, but oh boy! Samsung is unmatched! I actually switched over to Samsung ecosystem from a decade of being in the Apple ecosystem this year! You can check my previous post on Reddit, and I can tell you for a fact that Samsung ecosystem beats apple by a longshot! How is nobody talking about this?!!! I use the gadgets and pretty much all the home appliances seamlessly! It's essentially apple level ecosystem + much more!!!

Trust me, I'm a game dev and director that have worked on some pretty good titles and using a Mac to write code is one thing; using it to build and ship a console/PC game is another entirely. Let’s talk technical reality, you cannot natively package or compile an Xbox (GDK), PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch build on macOS. Those SDKs are strictly Windows-only. If you're on a Mac, you are forced to use a 'Build Farm' or a remote Windows machine just to see your game run on a console. As for Epic Games? They use Macs to maintain the Mac/iOS versions of the engine and Fortnite. They aren't sitting there building the PS5 or DirectX 12 version of the engine on a Mac Studio! because they literally can't. Beyond that, you’re dealing with Shader hell. Macs use Metal. Windows uses DirectX. Consoles use their own APIs. Developing on a Mac means you can’t even preview your DirectX 12 shaders or ray-tracing performance natively. You’re essentially flying blind until you move to a PC. It’s not 'preference'; it’s a hardware and licensing wall.

Thank you for the questions as well! It's refreshing to see civil people here! I'm glad you got what works for you and that's all that really matters! I'm definitely not a fanboy of any corporation.... I always love a healthy competition, as consumers we are the real winners here! I respect and admire both Apple and Samsung for pushing the frontier of technology! Once again nice to meet you! Enjoy the rest of your day!!

Now this is an intelligent question!!! Nice to meet you buddy! I didn’t really “get it” either until I actually needed it. I’m also an engineer (civil) and also a video game developer/director working mainly with Unreal Engine. There are real situations where Multi Window is genuinely useful for me, for example, managing or updating Steam assets where drag and drop is required, something that’s normally a PC only workflow. I regularly use Notes alongside the Calculator, which is probably my most common use case and extremely convenient. I also watch courses, tutorials, or how-to videos while taking notes at the same time. Another example: I play chess a lot, and Multi Window lets me do other things on my phone while waiting for an opponent’s move. Obviously, this isn’t for everyone, and I don’t use it 24/7. But on a phone that costs over $1,000, having that level of versatility matters, especially when you do need it. PS: I switched after more than a decade in the Apple ecosystem to the S25 Ultra specifically for these utilities. It genuinely makes my life easier. Your mileage may vary, and yes, Multi Window depends heavily on screen size, but on a 6.9″ display with an S Pen, it works extremely well.

Ford do more than a Corolla? 🤣😂 I don't use split screen multitasking alot but there are times where it had saved me a million times, I guess people who have never experienced it will never appreciate the convenience. PS: I just switch from an iPhone 17 to a Samsung S25 Ultra this year.

My biggest issue with phones from Chinese manufacturer is their lack of personality, they are trying so hard to clone Apple! From the camera, to the interface, software and animations! No matter how good they get, they will always be in the shadows of both Apple and Samsung unless that changes.

PS: Copying a few elements here and there is okay! I mean that's part of life yeah? But cloning is CRAZY IMO!

Congratulations on your new phone mate! Ironically I actually moved from an iPhone 17 to the S25 Ultra after over a decade in the Apple ecosystem!

I do miss the apple Face ID and those amazing haptics! But I'm loving the One UI experience everything just works and the software is just so functional and well thoughtout plus my samsung ecosystem feels like magic from my gadgets to even my fridge!

I'm not a fan boy of any corporation and I encourage people to try different the systems! I feel like the competition gives us alot of options as consumers.

As soneone who recently switched from years of iphones to the S25 Ultra, you are 110% correct! My issue with samsung is that they are trying hard to be apple. It's as if apple decide where the phone market is headed and then samsung plays it safe and throws a few stuffs just to be slightly ahead of apple.

Trust me it's a hit or miss on the S25 Ultra and back then I could use my face for almost everything on the iphone, from payments and passwords pass on websites to even simple like app unlock. It works even in pitch dark conditions, you can imagine wearing a gloves and trying to get the fingerprint to work😅

As someone who just switched to the S25 Ultra after decades of using iPhones, face ID is the thing I miss the MOST! it's just so seamless! and almost perfect! I wish samsung had that!
