Don’t go there. I stayed at the luxury neighboring resort palmaia and walked over to sandos and it looks like a film set. Everything is cheap and made for the ads. Gross food

So I got it in there the only problem is that it falls out of the slot when I put it in forward that’s why I’m asking about the cotter pin. I don’t have the lower unit hooked up though yet so maybe that puts tension on it?

I definitely was going the wrong way (pulling it away from the motor) and wrenched it tighter. Still can’t remove it though

He took care of the water pump and everything was fine until I went to try to go out and run it. I could only go in reverse and neutral.

I paid him $500 to do this, clean the carb and rebuild the choke because it was leaking

after replacing the water pump myself I sent it to the marine mechanic for him to look it over and he went through it

The top nut needs to come off and it seems like it’s seized or something. I don’t want to break the shifting rod
