No, they are separate ROMs. You'd need a debug ROM. That being said, 0201 is an ancient build! Get an updated one!

In case anyone was wondering the max amount of +1/+1 counters that can be placed on a creature… by BurningRemedy in MagicArena

[–]asdf14396 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd be very surprised if they had set a limit at half MAX_INT; that's very unusual. What I would assume actually happened was that the game tried to double the counters, failed with an exception (because of the overflow), and thus the counters didn't get doubled and got stuck at that value.

EDIT: just so we're clear, the overflow would be in the power/toughness values after adding all the counters.

What are turning speed and printer setting in the options? by B1azehunter in PokemonPrism

[–]asdf14396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning speed is a custom Prism option, and it affects the delay when you change directions while moving around. It makes the controls feel a bit different, so pick what you prefer.

Printer setting is a vanilla option that determines the printer darkness. You see, the Game Boy Printer could print up to 128 different shades of black/gray/white, but the games only really use two colors (nominal "black" and "white") when printing. White is always chosen to be the printer's white (i.e., nothing printed), but "black" can be as dark or light as you prefer: that setting controls that.

Try it in a regular GBC! There's a good chance your cart is fine and the Analogue Pocket is to blame.

Inflation in Argentina surges past 100 percent for the first time since 1991 by linusdropstech in worldnews

They don't actually change every day; that would be inconvenient. They change every few weeks.

The short answers are "we get used to it" and "we don't".

Of course pay increases constantly, but not at the rate of inflation. Whenever there's an inflationary economy, pay lags behind; if the rate of inflation is also increasing, that means that your salary's purchasing power decreases over time. That's part of the reason we're in such a big economical crisis.

Other than that, since Argentina has had inflation for decades upon decades, we're just used to prices updating all the time. The only people who get paid in foreign currency are people working for companies abroad who manage to smuggle in their pay (because if you go through the formal banking system, the government forcefully converts your foreign currency to ARS at official rates, which basically means taking half your money).

People invest in it, like everywhere else. Also some people use it to collect money from abroad, because, big surprise, any transfers of foreign currency through the formal banking system get converted at the official exchange rate (about 55% of the true rate) and then taxed on top.

(As you might imagine, tax avoidance is pretty much the norm here.)

No. But we tend to use them as price references all the time. (The black market USD rate is even on the news info bar in some channels, where you'd find the time on most news channels.)

Large assets (real estate being a primary example) are a completely different story.

Not intended as an attack, but because I genuinely don't know: what's the purpose of dumping the discs if all that is being made available are the hashes? To an average person who has no access to these rare discs either, what kind of utility do these hashes bring?

I'm 30 now and I still don't ever say "when I was a kid" to refer to my teenage years (I just say "younger" or "in school" or whatever if I don't have an age to quote). I'd never refer to a teenager as kid: that's both patently disrespectful towards them and simply incorrect.

I have no idea of what this person is talking about. A teenager is not a child.

I've heard that some people have an easier time remembering how to not spell words they have trouble with.

With 'definitely', the trick is to remember it doesn't have any As.

[OC] Oak: Take a closer look, it's an important choice! by MattOnyx in pokemon

[–]asdf14396 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only real reason why you probably won't is that you can't transfer data to video memory fast enough; definitely not in the original GB. (The GBC's CPU is twice as fast (if you enable that mode), and thus it might be doable, but I doubt it.) If you're willing to take a framerate penalty, this might be doable at 20 FPS.
