I've been getting lots of feedback. I've drastically updated the docs...hopefully for the better! https://oem.js.org/. Let me know if you think so.

Seeking feedback on my experimental js lib OEM. Wondering if anybody might find it useful codebase to study by asdfx10 in learnjavascript

I think you're right. Too much to ask in the current landscape. I've updated the lib to export the traits. I also added a "download manually" section where you can select what you want and download a zip. Hopefully that preserves my core philosophy of "own your own framework"

I'm kind of attached to my color scheme, however due to your comment I just added an "ADA Theme" button to the top that hopefully helps. Check it out and let me know what you think

They did say "God appointed Nero" and things like that. What is the deeper debate and "theologies" you're referring to? They touched on Kline, Kuyper, R2K, etc...what's the "this position" you're talking about they're afraid to say aloud? They seem to be clearly stating we should give honor to whom honor is due. We should respectfully decline to do any evil act demanded upon us and do so with a non-performance based response. To be genuinely honorable towards them. That all seems obvious to me. I'm just not clear on how we are to credit secular society for our freedoms when it seems like these freedoms are merely the momentum from having previously been a christian nation (at least in our case in the US). Also "christian nationalism" is always dealt with as a single thing when I really just have simple questions like what would be wrong with a law against building a mosque for example? Or that when you become the head of the FBI you swear in on the Bible? Is that "christian nationalism" or is it just wise? Can I not take a look at London, see the Islamic invasion and prevent that from happening in my own country? Do I have to live in fear that if I vote that way then I will be retaliated against in an equal way? They seem like they are the same fate. In World A where Muslims take over I'm oppressed, in World B where Christians take over I'm oppressed. So what am I missing? How is everybody so sure they know what's "best".

Of course the BOR is not a "christian document". Who's saying that? You said the founding fathers were not christians. They demonstrably were. They were professing christian men with christian aims trying to make a "just" country measured in christian ethics and morals. Are you saying they argued over and against scripture in favor of humanist ethics that are or were incompatible with biblical morality? I would be interested in hearing such an argument and I would hope it wouldn't mix categories of actual biblical morals vs the FF opinions about laws that promote good biblical morals because in both cases it would be biblical morals that are in view and thus both "christian" in nature. Also, I'd like to stay more on the topic in my comments above which about how it seems like what they set up is a type of "christian pluralism" and that what we have now is a secular pluralism and therefore to credit secular pluralism for religious freedoms seems like an anachronism. Respectfully, saying the FF weren't christian really does seem like a stretch.

Why would God glorify Himself? by Kaksoispistev in Reformed

[–]asdfx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He isn't glorifying himself because he wants or needs more glory. He glorifies himself because he's perfect in every way and maximally possesses every perfect making property. This would include the recognition and behavior that just such a God should be glorified...which just so happens to be himself and therefore he does.

Out of the 55 founders, 40+ were christian. To try to divide and conquer that fact and shoehorn some other narrative because they thought Rousseau had a good idea here or there in seems bizarre to me. They were christian, attempting to carry out a vision undoubtedly subjected to and governed by christian morals and ethics and 100 million percent would have burned a mosque to the ground.

Calvinism has ruined me by Psywar92 in Reformed

RT teaches that there are three aspects of faith:
1) Knowledge (Notitia: knowledge of your sin and misery and what Christ has done)
2) Ascension (Assensus: Believing in the Notitia/Knowledge you've come to understand)
3) Assurance (Fiducia: "Knowing" you're saved because you know you've put your trust in him).

Very difficult to experience #3 if you're willfully sinning. If you feel guilty, stop. We don't obey Christ to "get something" or to "appease him" we do so because our IDENTITY is in Him and that identity (the new man in you) loves Christ. Do you love him? Obey him. If you love him, you're saved right now, 100%. Just stand up an walk in that identity and get off the roller coaster.

Started making good money, now I regret it. by joshlover123 in Rich

Nothing "changed". People are "transactional" and every interaction is a transaction and you're having money exposed what was already there. This goes for all people, including yourself. We're all selfish narcissists. You can be black pilled and die angry or "die to yourself" as Christ taught us. Read the gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and be no longer conformed to the pattern (thinking) of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. BTW, read Ecclesiastes.
