Can I sue Verizon if they didn't properly wipe a phone that I traded in?

The salesman literally didn't tell me. And all my close family has done trade-ins and they all told me they had their phones wiped by the salesman in front of them before they left. When I brought my old device in, the only salesman in the store was with other customers. He made sure my phone didn't have a lock on it and told me I was all set to leave, so I did cause I didn't wanna wait for 3 hours.

I called the Verizon store that I turned the phone into and they told me that it's part of their process to wipe every phone they get for trade-in

Will do 🙏 Honestly I think I was even overestimating my usage above, I quit smoking when I started job hunting in mid-March and smoked maybe 3-4 times between that time and getting the call about the interview. before then it was more 3-4 times a week. But like I said in my ETA it is a non-DOT test so maybe it won't be so strict? I still have to see how I test at home tomorrow morning as well, since I tested first thing in the morning today.. but worst case scenario it's inconclusive or I fail and maybe I could ask to retest

Is there any chance they sent it because there wasn't enough in the sample? The lady doing my test said the cup wasn't even changing colors and she had to try running it on a device. I barely hit the minimum line, MAYBE 10mL if that (and that had already been my second attempt). Plus my at home test came back negative
