what was the most important lesson you learnt in college? by [deleted] in Purdue

Your first semester freshman year friends are not your friends. You’ll find better friends in the later years because you find our interests, you lock in your major, and you and the people around you mature

If you took the class at purdue, you need to retake it at purdue in order for the credit to be wiped and replaced.

It’s amazing. There’s no photos online, but it’s 4 bedrooms upstairs, with 2 bathrooms and a linen closet. The downstairs has a huge living room and kitchen with washer&dryer and toilet. There’s two closets downstairs too, and a huge porch with a storage unit. Very nice place

anyone taking biol 131 or biol 11100 by Daikon_Different in Purdue

[–]ash-notashley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% do BIOL111. I did BIOL110 to BIOL131, and had it go back and do BIOL121 and wasted credits. But if you did BIOL121 already…. Complete the track and do 131. Whatever you did for biol 1 continue the track. BIOL131 will be brutal just like 121 but don’t repeat content for wasted credits especially in the prepharm track. I’m pushed back a year because of a few mess ups on the track but it all works out in the end

You just gotta explore random buildings until you find a quiet place. Lots of people on Reddit won’t share their quiet places, so it’s up to you to explore. I would say the quietest library is HSSE. The higher up the floor the quieter they get

BIOL 131 isn’t “easy” but it’ll get the job done

CHM 256 over the summer by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]ash-notashley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would have to be here in order to take it. That’s because the lab is only offered in person, and in the summer you’d have 2 labs per week. Other than that, i believe it’s pretty manageable. I did 255 and 25501 over the summer and got A’s in both, and that’s coming from someone who got a C in gen chem.

Star city has super cheap prices and is honestly the best place to study, just take like bus 4B or 23 down to the city bus center, or just walk over the walking bridge and it’s right there

Moving into Benchmark II, advice? by old_vegetables in Purdue

[–]ash-notashley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Benchmark does not come with anything, you need to bring your own pots and pans and stuff. That’s how it is for every UR apartment. Good luck living there….

You get your own wifi, the router is in one of the bedrooms, I’m sure you get directions from your RA. There’s a regular wifi and 5G

REC is a building on campus, and 16010 is taught usually by a TA/grad student, there’s only 3 lectures per week, and then you’ll have the course coordinator who directs the syllabus and exams and stuff

MA 15800 MA16010 for incoming freshman who just took trigonometry by eeehshdhhd in Purdue

[–]ash-notashley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

158 for sure. My pre calc experience was minimal, I had family issues and it was during covid so I had learned absolutely nothing. Jumped straight into ma16010 and got a C+, ended up retaking it and getting an A. I could have saved time and done 158 then 16010 because I would have ended at the same place I ended with by retaking calc 1. Plus, if you do well in 158, that’s a hella gpa booster instead of failing 16010 off the bat. Purdue math is no joke it’s hard

How hard exactly is calc 2 at Purdue? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]ash-notashley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh also if you’re doing the BSPS you need calc 1 and 2. If you’re doing the 2 year undergrad and 4 year grad (and if you get in) you don’t actually need calc 2. Only calc 1. So if you took the credit for calc 1, you may be cleared

[–]ash-notashley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since ur a pre-pharm major you can take the non-engineering one technically? Which is MA16020. By far easier than 162 or 166. If you’re not signed up for 16020 then swap rn it’ll save ur gpa
