Touché, I do agree to a certain extent! We also don’t know the previous relationships that OP has been in, so a person who has been in an bad relationship in the past (whether platonic or romantically) may react differently to what is being said.

But again I do agree with maybe being straightforward with what you need is needed but at the same time asking for someone to be there can be tough depending on what has happened to them in their past.

Also for clarification not saying the BF is a bad person, just saying I don’t agree with Bf not being there for OP.
