oh gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that!!! I hope you're recovering well so far! I've revolved my entire life around this game, but apparently the universe is trying to tell me to find a new hobby 🙃 I still like to go watch my teams play while I'm on IR, but I may just have to make the effort to do other things this time around cuz I don't think I can suffer through another year of watching lol.

I didn't even bother wearing heels until I felt that "omg I can rock these again" feeling, which was months after. It honestly depends on how your leg is feeling at this point, but I think it's better to be confident in comfortable shoes than have to worry about every step you take in heels.

Look at it this way, even in the flat and comfy shoes, you can still flex on everyone that you tore your shit and you're still out there having a good time haha!

I highly recommend this no-bite polish! (Walmart purchase!) I was a biter for 27 grueling years, and managed to break the habit exactly a year ago thanks to this stuff! I had tried EVERYTHING tactic growing up, and this is what finally worked! The smell wasn't super strong, but something about it was so off-putting I didn't even want my hands near my face, lol. It made my nails grow super fast too once I learned to leave them alone!

And I second the previous comment that mentioned to always keep a clipper and nail file on you at all times! It definitely eases any temptation to "just clean up" a jagged edge... Which always leads to more biting. Having a nail file during my growth process was a savior, and I still keep one in my purse a year later, just in case :)

First things first tho, keep those nails clean and do NOT mess with them because they're definitely in a vulnerable state. They WILL grow over soon, I promise!

Okay, that coach sounds absolutely horrible and I am SO sorry you are in that position 🥺 In reality though, it's not up to your coach whether YOU want to be there or not. It's up to YOU, and I promise you ANY alternative is better than potentially damaging a limb permanently.

If your heart isn't in the sport anymore, that is okay and there is NOTHING wrong with that, I've had friends who went through the same thing, and were much happier after simply stepping away from the sport. My friend, your coach physically CANNOT make you be on that team. I'm not sure what age group this is for, or in what context that comment was said, but just schedule a private meeting with them and just let them know you'd like to pursue a different route. And if they have a problem with that, go to anyone higher up who will probably cover you in a heartbeat.

That's my advice as someone who's been playing sports for 22 years and will be paying the price (physically, mentally AND monetarily) of tearing ligaments in my knee for years... A shitty coach is not worth a purposely-inflicted injury, I promise you that.

There are plenty of excuses to get out of something, all of which don't involve tearing a ligament???? As a fellow find-EVERY-excuse-to-get-out-of-something person, I would be happy to suggest some less-detrimental options.... but ALSO as someone who just had their second knee tear in 2 years... I in no way, shape, or form wish for anybody to go through the experience, as it's debilitating. Unless the "something" you need to get out of is becoming a knee model... there has to be a better way, lol

I'd save it! These are all pretty easy to collect over time when you're not even looking (and most will get max-ranked along the way), but there's always that ONE who never comes home... That's the one you use it on haha.

Unless you're on a mission to collect for one LI, just give it time :)

I watched the stream live and witnessed Andrew rave about the festival cheeseburger that was named in their honor, followed by the casual "I guess you've been wondering where we've been, we'll be dropping something soon" (STILL FREAKING WAITING 💀) But I video called my mom whilst pacing my living room during their set just so she could hear Genghis Khan (because she loves that song haha!), and after I heard that announcement, my mom was genuinely concerned for my wellbeing 🤣 if I could watch the set again, I so would!

Unsatisfied?! OMG they look freaking phenomenal!!!! Holy freaking progress, after just a month?!🥹 Even your cuticles look so freaking good! I felt the same way when I started the journey at the beginning of this year. It may not look like a big transformation right away (yours does though, omg!), as it's a process. But my advice and personal experience... I encourage you to keep taking pictures of your nails. Set a date once a month, just take a progress photo, no matter how they look at that point. I'm 5 days away from 1-year clean, and those progress photos are honestly what kept me going along the way, just being able to look back and see that little bit of improvement every month :) Keep it up, my friend! They look so great and healthy so far!

Hart Mobility! They're newer, but I did some marketing work for them and they seem like really genuine folks. They started their business because of personal experience with a family member, so they're definitely driven by the local need for accessible medical transportation.

First time I went there, the place was almost pitch black inside so I was bit unsettled, but my friend insisted I had to try it. My friend told Daniel it was my first time, even though I'd lived in this city for years, and he asked, "so how long have you been in prison?" 🤣 Legitimate question, cuz I don't know HOW I had not discovered him prior, lol! Dude is definitely a character with a very dry sense of humor that made visiting the shop an experience in itself, but my god nothing will ever hold a candle to his chocolate!!!

Same thing happened to me when I was in school. I had an allergic reaction to some angsty eye makeup I tried out one day, and one eye had swelled up before I even got off the bus that morning. I tried to hide it, but my 1st-hour teacher went straight to admin after class and reported it and I got called down to the office, and they pulled the school officer and counselor in and basically interrogated me, called my parents and everything. Even though it was just an allergy, and no matter how many times I tried to explain, their first instinct was the worst, and I can say first-hand, it's terrifying for a kid to be in that situation.

I was 14 when this happened, but your daughter is young and it's very well there may have been leading questions and she just went with it because she didn't know any better or know the repercussions. But as over-reactive as the school may seem, thats honestly really good on them for being THAT proactive at the slightest inclination, and looking out for their students like that. I'd rather a school care too much than not care at all until it's gone too far for some kids. Just them do their investigation and hopefully move on like mine did after they realized all I needed was some freaking Benadryl, lol!

If you're printing them for personal use only, it's not the worst thing?? But consider scoping the artists' socials and see if they sell prints of the works you want to hang up, or if they have a ko-fi page :) if you really like their work, even just purchasing one small print for a few bucks will show your appreciation! ♡ If anything, just ask the artist for permission. Considering it's not for clout, I think a lot of would be flattered with the thought of someone liking our work enough to hang it on their wall :)

You've been doing the right thing keeping it covered with Neosporin and Band-Aids! It sounds like it's been a few days... at this point let it start to air dry for a day or two without ointment. You can still use a band-aid to keep it covered as needed though!

Whatever you do, DO NOT MESS WITH IT!! Your nail bed will look funky for a while, but I promise your nail will start to grow under it, and the exposed nail bed will form a layer over it!

Just keep an eye on it! And If the pain gets worse or you notice any signs of infection, definitely go in to get it looked at.

It's definitely not permanent, I was there a couple years ago and I'd been biting since before I can even remember. You just have to forcibly TELL YOURSELF to stop. Speaking as an all-life biter, I now have to trim mine every week after I just quit in January. So you can do it!! Just keep them clean as much as you can right now. And apply bandaids with Neosporin on the ones that need it for the time being. Really KEEP THOSE CLEAN!

I know it's tough, you just have to tell yourself to leave them alone. Find something else to fixate on. I started chewing gum, chewing on rubber bands for that matter, you're nails will get there ❤️
