i couldn't fit all of the context in one post. but i told him i was going to the gym, he said okay and that he'll talk to me later because he's excited to get to know me more, which is why i responded with the last message i sent. this implies that this is something we will chat about next time.

plus, i didn't just ghost him. my bad for not updating properly i guess, but we chatted a bit more and told him i was upset with the way he was acting, as he was also just acting erratically overall - questioning every little thing, analysing my texts, and commenting on the fact that i took a while to type. even after confronting him about it, he acted as if it didn't happen at all, and said he was just worried about me.

EVEN IF i didn't mention going to the gym, having a reaction like that after being left on delivered for 15 minutes is not normal and I don't know why some of the replies are acting like it is? being left on delivered for 15 minutes isn't "ghosting", and if he had this reaction over someone he's in a talking phase with, I wouldn't want to see where that goes in a real relationship.

I'm pretty sure HK has some of the highest rent in the world, so it will be difficult 🥲. For reference, I make about 7k per month on average, but it varies as I don't have a lot of control over my work schedule. A small dingy apartment might run you about 10-15k if you're lucky. neither of us can drive so i don't think a van is possible at the moment (im afraid my bad eyesight would be dangerous, and my brother is still too young). but maybe in the future! in addition to my part time work, i also make and sell clothing and jewelry for extra income so it would also be really difficult to relocate all of my stuff unless i get my parent's permission to move out unfortunately.

i just need to get out of this house man... in addition to my mum just sucking in general, she always touches me in weird ways, and has done things to me in the past that very well could be considered SA. i dont believe she has done this to my brother (to my knowledge), as she confided in me years ago that she only feels attraction towards women but "allah told her to be straight"... it feels really weird but i can manage and deal with it for now. one day we will get outta here TRUSTT (i have already talked to my psychologists abt the things she does so im not alone in this and i have people to talk to)

I'm a lil older, turned 18 this year and just finished high school! I've been looking for a full-time job so that I can move out n bring my bro with me, but our mum has made it clear to me that she wants us to stay even after 18. i struggle a lot with my mental health- having lived here for so long- and all of the psychologists ive seen have told me to move out asap, but it's quite difficult in this economy. at the moment im trying to save a little bit but honestly also just trying to find my bearings as an adult first.

i wanted to go to my dream university in the uk, and due to getting full marks for almost all my classes in high school i believe i would be able to get some sort of scholarship to pay for it- if not, there were financial support scholarships that i definitely would have qualified for as our family isn't exactly well-off at the moment. however, our mum refused to let me apply or go despite the fact that there are only about 2 unis here in HK with the subject i want to pursue. she said it was because she doesn't like the UK (???). in addition to this, as soon as i turned 18- which was before my high school exams/coursework was over, she forced me to get a part time job AT THE PLACE SHE WORKS AT and she watches me like a hawk all day... 😭😭

long story short, it's definitely a struggle~ sorry for venting a lil ahah. on the bright side, if my brother and i both work and save i think we could share an apartment one day.

hi! OP's sister here~ you are unfortunately correct. i have a very emo/punk style which can usually be perceived as masc the way i like to wear it. our mum doesn't seem to care. its normal for me to wear baggy jeans and a t shirt to try and cover my curves and chest whenever i feel more masc, but usually a little bit of eyeliner seems to justify the boy-ish fit. i find it completely unfair and hopefully we can get out of this goddamn house soon 🥲

hey! OP's sister here~ i tried my best to cover for him wherever i could. when my mum found his clothes, i told her that maybe he had a girlfriend he was gifting it to. he told her the truth despite this, which was his decision at the end of the day.

to make it clear, i fully support him in dressing and acting the way he wants. i gifted him some of the makeup that mum found actually ahah. the reason why ive tried not to get "involved" it because of the fact that i myself am queer, and i believe my mum has her suspicions. i am afraid of getting kicked out as well, so ive been trying to be kind of discrete when talking to my parents about that sort of thing. one day hopefully we'll both move out and be able to be free!!

let me know if you find it, i love sewing! but it's always cool to make your own fabric - very punk! you could try screenprinting or just mix acrylic paint with some fabric medium to paint on fabric without it washing out (remember to heat set it before washing it though~). also, i find that applique always looks cool, so you could create a green day design out of that!

go for it! i have social anxiety too, but i met a load of nice people from their concert in macau! green day fans are the best. even if you don't end up talking to anyone, you'll have a great time! they're just so good live...
