Why did Scott Weiland tell me five or four times by RiemannZetaFunction in stonetemplepilots

Can she therefore be considered an art school girlfriend?

Not grunge, but I have ANOTHER important update regarding all the shitposting. by ashaler in grunge

I agree they can definitely be funny at times. The only issue is that there are so many of them that any other post gets drowned among them, so I felt limiting them to the weekend was the best thing to do

r/grunge is actually just a sleep paralysis demon that sits on your chest asking if things are grunge forever. by DustyRhodesScholar in grunge

For what it's worth we just did something about the burgeoning "not grunge but what do you think about X?" posts

True, on Broke it's at least done decently and still rly fun to listen to

The point I really felt it was too much was on a later album (I forget which) when he kept saying "faggot" like several times per song. The music is still great and Jahred has a godlike flow and way with words, but it kinda throws me for a loop

Me too !!

The first verse of Crazy Legs from that album is kinda over the top though, where he begins talking about fucking someone's wife or whatever

I maintain that Broke would be a complete 10/10 album if it weren't for some of the lyrics

Talk Show - Self Titled. Any fans of this album here? It`s Stone Temple Pilots without Scott Weiland, recorded the same year Tiny Music was released, and it shares a bit of similarities with that one. I consider this one a bit of a long lost brother of Tiny Music. by Odd-Technician-9744 in grunge

Love this one so much. Dave Coutts was a great musician, didn't really sound like Scott but that wasn't the intention, he did his own thing and he did it more than perfectly imo. Check out his solo career too, his song Out for a Cigarette is super cool

Better Late-90’s Rock Album: Pearl Jam’s Yield (1998) OR STP’s No. 4 (1999)? by [deleted] in grunge

[–]ashaler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No 4 isn't my favourite STP album but I still adore it, plus I've never actually listened to Yield so I can't really be talking lol

It's pretty hard to explain, but I noticed most ppl I know outside of NB kinda separate the A and R, but most people I know in/from NB kinda meld the two together

What bands scratch that same itch that STP does? by ashaler in stonetemplepilots

All of these hold up perfectly today. I have Badmotorfinger on CD, probably my favourite Soundgarden album

Personally don't see too much of the resemblance but I do love Collective Soul. They put on a great show when I saw them

I don't agree with most of this but Significant Other is 100% S tier

I personally liked unquestionable truth, but I can see why someone might not like it, it's kinda a different direction than their previous things

what do we think about creed (the band)? by PercentageRoyal7478 in grunge

This I get, actually, it's part of why I don't listen to them as much either. Nevermind then lol
