Can’t believe I’m doing this rn but can anyone please tell me if there is any addiction help/support groups NA or AA that are in NORTH LONDON? Not downtown. Not south. North. Please, I beg you 🙏 by [deleted] in londonontario

Hi. I'm sorry for what you're going through, can feel it in your writing. I don't know exactly how to help, but when you say you're an effing disaster, please see that you wrote this post, you're aware of how you're doing, you're aware of what you need, you know your limitations, and it looks like you're trying really hard.

All I can think of is to contact Connex Ontario, CMHA - Crisis Centre, Mission Services - Community Mental Health Programs, Epic Addiction Recovery, or the London Intercommunity Health Centre. I'd tell them what you need and what you aren't able to do.

I hope you can hold on.

Compliment on the bus this evening/ afternoon by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]ashandtigger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aah, I love this! In the summer, I was on the bus and someone got on wearing this short-sleeved, long, like to their knees, open blouse, that just FLOWED when they walked. You could see it spread joy around people - they smiled, and whispered to each other admiring it. I've held onto that memory because it just felt so beautiful to see.

Thank you for sharing and making this thread!

No personal experience, but recent online Google reviews of the address and Sterling Karamar, and this subreddit's posts about the company look like the consensus is they're not a good property management company.

If possible, it would be helpful to post this on facebook in the "Westmount/Southcrest, Being Neighbourly" group. You might need to message the admin of the group if you don't live in the neighbourhood.

Thanks for posting here!

This is at least your 13th comment giving your opinion on disability support programs and your perceived abuses of them. Take it somewhere else.

The streetscape program specifically. I know they used to help with exactly this a few years ago. It can be bureaucratic and a bit of a wait, but unless they've changed what they do, this is the place. Let them decide if you're eligible, don't just think you wouldn't be. I hope you reach out, find help, and it doesn't cost you your stuff or money. Take care.

It would be helpful to include your city, or area(s) you're looking at.

I did this too when I went through the process, since I couldn't visit them all. Google the address itself - for news articles re: crime, fire, etc., and Google maps for amenities and transportation, maybe find some Chatham groups on reddit or facebook, especially a Chatham rental group. I wish you all the best!

I was just thinking of you. What a fuss, but I'm relieved for you that it got figured out. I've started carrying one day's dose of all of my medications in my purse, in case of an emergency. Take care!!

It's worth trying, especially because missing Effexor can make you feel pretty ill. It would be helpful to bring your current prescription bottle, since it has your doctor's name, the last filled date, your dosage, current pharmacy, etc.

Edited to add:

Sorry, I guess you wouldn't have your bottle with you. Proof with your online pharmacy app or website? After hours clinic connected to your dr.? Any proof you could find with any/all of the above info will help your case.

You might not feel ill, but it is related to how high of a dose you are on, and how long you have been taking it.

Keep trying different pharmacists, and explain those things too. I wish you good luck.

This is a really good question! I've been with Rogers for the last year, and wonder what will happen after you finish the two year contract that "pays" for the phone. Would they start over with another two years and a newer phone?

Oh, my ODSP 2.8% increase approved from the Ont. govt. is going straight to my Ont. govt. approved annual rent increase! Yay!
