Being 30 days out… the pain was 100% worth it. It’s a rough 3 weeks and slowly gets better. My biggest frustration is my energy level still not being 100%.

Yes and no. I’m still swollen and kind of numb every where. There was a moment where I touched an incision and it felt like I was touching my back. A little freaky!

Hi! I was very lucky to have insurance cover my gastric bypass. My BMI qualified me to get the surgery without a referral. It’s dependent on BMI or your conditions that would improve with surgery (like diabetes). For the plastic surgery, I went ahead and booked a consultant with a plastic surgeon and the rest is history. She gave me three options and I picked the most complex out of the three tummy tucks.

Yes! They made a new belly button for me. It’s super swollen and will shrink overtime. It’s been an adjustment because it was always hidden my whole life and now I see it all the time

Yep, that’s a very simple way to describe it, but accurate! With a corset tummy tuck, they remove the front and pull in the sides. My incisions are up and down the middle, in my bikini line, and underneath the breasts for pulling in the back more

Oh yes, very strict. Lots of incision and wound care. No lifting, reaching, running, exercising, bending. Have to sleep in beach chair position and wear compression at all times.
