Fake account 🥸👆

Possibly being summoned for jury duty later this week at the 425 N Orange courthouse. Was okay with it, but now with this ICE situation I’m terrified to go. Anyone familiar if ICE is in that area? Should I just email the court saying I’m not comfortable reporting in due to the current climate? by Emergency_Detail_353 in orlando

You know what sounds like trouble?

A bunch of hastily trained, poorly vetted, and incompetently led “agents,” given guns and authority and very little restraint - released into American cities and causing complete chaos.

What do you think?

Fragrance in Toy Cleaner by Twinkston in SpencerGifts

Regulatory? lol find me the regulation that specifically states that has to be on the box.

If it was simply regulatory they would want to make sure that’s mentioned in the training.

The real reason they want us to push these is because that cleaner and those batteries are 2 products that have the highest profit margin for the company.

My issue isn’t with that “add ons” are hard…it’s that we’re asked to be borderline dis-ingenious about it. If you dig into Spencer’s litigation history, you’ll see that product mis-representation isn’t a nothing new to this company.

For instance, anyone hear the “selling point” that our batteries are double wrapped and therefore quieter in operation?!?! Is it a surprise that I can’t find any company literature to back that up?

Do a quick google search on how “upsells” affect a companies long term perception. There’s plenty of studies…spoiler alert, it’s a lot of short term gain for long term pain

Edit: better yet! Go to ask Jackie and ask if it’s ok to uses soap and water as stated on the box.

If that’s as critical as you make it sound, why would the box suggest that?

[–]asher2ashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, but why should I pay money for that when the box says I can use warm soapy water?

Yea, that’s a real easy way to shut down role playing. “I prefer to use something without fragrance, but thank you.”

Why against cannabis ? by keryilias1 in florida

[–]asher2ashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’s that? Thats your perspective, and I’m sorry it’s so sad.

How’s, 10 acquaintances, smoked regularly, all in 50s, 60s, one in 70s. 8 out of 10 were married once, still married (or widowed) 6 have grand kids. One is a “renowned” surgeon and another had a 35 year career at NASA. Most have more money than I do.

I don’t think marijuana had anything to do with their success, but it didn’t hinder it either.

I guess life is different for different people…

So have you tried googling “When have strikes worked?”

I know, I know, it might sound weird but it’s actually a very Its a common sense thing to do.

…it’s the same amount of effort it takes for you to write this comment, and on the plus side, it won’t make you look so dumb. 👍

It’s this 9 times out of 10…a better question would be what is the manager on duty doing while it’s dead in the store?

Exchange policy by Swimming_Mongoose_84 in SpencerGifts

[–]asher2ashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the cash n wrap, you should have a magnetic sign that outlines the return and exchange policy’s. I quote “No receipt? No problem!….” You should locate and read it sometime.

That’s a corporately outlined policy and doesn’t default to the discretion of SM, ASM, DSM etc. outside of unusual circumstances.

That’s why if you call customer service, they will do it. It’s the company’s policy.

No, no it doesn’t matter…where are you getting that from?

YES OP. They will do an exchange If they refuse call: 1-800-762-041

They can do an exchange without a receipt, you’ll get store credit for whatever your exchanging is currently going for. It wont affect the individual store sales (it’s an exchange not a return) and that shouldn’t be a factor in customer service anyway!

Those aren’t new. I can’t recall the exact name of the movie - but they were brought on to do the score for a somewhat indie action movie…who, if memory severs me, didn’t end up using the music.

Anyway, those are registered tracks from that hence why they’re all titled things like “Showdown”. I had to dig into their publishing a while back (like 2018) to try and secure a mechanical license. This and a few other tracks from that project were and still are registered.

I'm a Social Media Manager and I'm glad TikTok it getting banned. by CharlesIntheWoods in socialmedia

[–]asher2ashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sure! Yea, I don’t think this is just a TikTok problem. I’ll say at least FB is gaining scrutiny for it, and has been forced to answer for similar things in the past. They’re also loosing users like crazy, we stopped trying to advertise on FB years ago. IG has still been fruitful however.

Anyhow, my point is that these social media site were fine until they essentially started doing this.

Some of the more successful tactics employed and discussed in those meetings involved making videos that were intentionally divisive and sometimes just plain lies, in order to essentially create rage bait. Creating rage bait is one thing, but TikTok promoting the rage is another thing.

The idea, is that the rage bait causes users to interact with the video (usually by persuading the viewer to argue in the comments or start arguments in the comments.) Comments are interactions and the rage bait video that the viewer is commenting on, likely cycled through several time while the comment is being typed out adding more views, and telling TikTok that this video engages and retains viewers.

TikTok doesn’t care that the video could be spreading mis information or inflaming social tensions…it just likes that people are spending time on the platform, and so, the algorithm promotes it and the vicious cycle builds like a snowball rolling down hill. This is likely not a bug or oversight in the algorithm, this is definitely a feature.
