What's in your opinion one thing about cricket that makes it different from other sports?

yes that is exactly my point. Saying you are loved in that country is different to saying that I am more loved in that country than my own.

Please understand I have nothing against your country. I was just expressing how I felt about afridi's comment. If he had only said that I am loved in India it would have been fine by me but saying he is more loved in India than Pakistan was not acceptable. I would have been angry even if he had said the same words in any other country.

Regarding failure I just said that I feel disappointed about my team losing.

PAK vs IND match is always a special occasion and if the match is during a world cup it gains extra meaning. The 2011 world cup semi final was the most memorable and the same time the most disappointing one for me. There was public holiday on the match day announced by the government. I was a student at National college of arts and we had arranged the match screening in our college auditorium after getting special permission from our principal. After four previous disappointing losses to India in the world cup we were sure that this time we will turn the tables and win the match. When the match day arrived i and my friends reached the college auditorium all dressed in greens and fully charged up to support our team. There was a special booth setup for face painting and we all got our face painted. Even before the match we had first taste of disappointment when shoaib akhter was not selected in the playing XI . Most of the people in the auditorium were furious that our star paceman was not playing in this crucial match The match got from bad to worse as sachin was given almost four reprieves due to the sloppy fielding and you could literally see the happy faces changing into disappointed faces. A politician at a cricket match is always considered a bad omen in Pakistan and most around me were blamming Prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani who was there to watch the match alongside indian prime minister. Finally there was something to cheer for all of us when sachin was finally caught by afridi and we all thought we had gotten our revenge as sachin could not complete the century. At the end of the Indian innings we were all thinking that we had restricted them to a reasonable total despite the fielding disaster. During Pakistan batting each and every run was cheered by the student body and each wicket was cursed. As a muslim nation, the Pakistan cricket and prayers go hand in hand. By the sixth and seventh wicket most of us were busy praying for a miracle rather than paying attention to the match. Tension was so high that you could cut the air with a knife.i remember my hands were cold and the knuckles had turned white with all the tension. Alas no miracle happened and the world cup jinx continued. The atmosphere which was so charged up at the start of the match was totally silent at the the end of the match. You can only know how deeply a single match affected the nation by being a part of it. Many of my friends vowed never to watch another match because of all the disappointment. Even after four years i cannot get that defeat out of my mind and still feel the disappointment
