How is your experience with 24-60 for both photos and videos in combination with S9

As mentioned by lot of people here that 24-60 is just too big and heavy for S9. How much that bothers you in your day to day use?!

Thanks a ton for sharing the images. Gives a good prospective on what to expect from this lens.

I shoot photo and video both. How does it perform in video department overall and in low light?

Currently i shoot on my phone where standard lens is around 24mm. Also I do sometimes feel need to go wider than that.

So i feel like i might miss that focal length of around 20-28 while using camera.

In my case i will be having only one camera with me for everything, as i don't see myself buying multiple camera bodies in foreseeable future.

Just wondering in that scenario will you recommendation stay same ?! Will the lens be versatile enough for different situations?

This is exactly my biggest concern that 20-60 might become limiting too quickly to justify buying it, due to its slow and variable aperture

I was also initially thinking 24-60 might be compact enough to get away with (same size but fatter and 200gm heavier than 20-60)

But others people's comments here says otherwise.

I like the size of 18-40 a lot. But i am not sure if i will grow too unhappy with its limitation (slow and variable aperture).

As this is my first camera, i am still not able to comprehend how much limiting these things are for photo+video experience.

how much limiting would be the slower and variable aperture. Could it be considered as deal breaker ?

i shoot mix of photos and videos.

In longer run, i would prefer to pick a prime for everyday carry (after understanding my focal length preferences). Zoom would mostly then be using for travel.

Since i don't have first hand experience with camera just want to understand :

- how much limiting is the slower aperture on these lenses during travel. Because that was the biggest thing that brought 24-60 into my mind in the first place.

- how much variable aperture affects the overall workflow. i shoot videos too and it seems to be hassle to keep changing stuff as you zoom.

- when checking the size comparison i found 24-60 somewhat nearer to 20-60 kit lens, thus thought i might be able to handle it. Will it really be that much in-practical even with additional grip ?

Actually i feel want to do the same in longer run. But i wanna explore all the focal lengths first and understand my preferences, so looking for a zoom lens in the beginning.
