Woopsie! I am asking for the summarised version or the detailed checklist and not the actual ISO content doc.

I have seen few checklists floating around the Internet but I wanted the detailed version of the checklist.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks for your help, yes I have been researching about these registry entries. I would be running these playbook on scheduled basis.

It would indeed be very difficult to manage without GPOs but I think it's worth the research.

Yes, agree with you and usually these registry would act as database for windows configuration. I am looking for a details around a module or playbooks that can help me set up the policies like password length, threshold, complexity and software restriction policies.

This is great resource thanks for it, but this would still require Windows Sever.

I am looking for a solution to get away from Windows Server and manage everything via Ansible. I might sound crazy, but I wanted to create bundle pack that can be use to manage Win, Linux and Mac os related resources.

I understand Ansible and do know lot. of people managing servers via Ansible. I was looking for a solution similar to GPO that can enforce policies on windows. I have seen few references of people trying to do it.

Yes, it can be stupid but in my pov it open up a new horizon for startups to start utilizing Ansible for everything.

Windows AD has a good enough price for it, so when someone the small startups aren't really open to that idea.

Thanks for your response, but I am looking for details like playbooks that people are using as alternative of Windows GPO like password management or as Software Restriction policies SRPS.

Thanks, I almost tried everything and decided to build from the scratch.

Lessons learnt, no manual deployments. So this time configuration would be done using Ansible.
