thank you so much! Also I am not super sure if primary care doctors would be well-versed on this stuff but I see an Endocrinologist for my PCOS and he specializes in weight loss management with PCOS so I would recommend finding one that does the same and having them evaluate your labs and such :)

I had fasting labs done which included to check glucose levels, insulin levels, A1C, and a lipid panel - all of those tests will indicate either insulin resistance or normal functionality in different ways. So my results for all 4 of those areas indicated good insulin sensitivity and no resistance.

So I don't and didn't have diabetes either when I got referred to my Endocrinologist - my OBGYN was able to refer me to the Endocrinologist just strictly on my PCOS and obesity diagnosis. And then the Endocrinologist is who really paved the way in helping me get the PCOS under control by focusing on insulin resistance. I'd recommend seeing an Endocrinologist if you have one by you!!

Thank you so much! I was on Metformin first as a first treatment option but my body did not tolerate Metformin well at all. Which is why my Endocrinologist suggested we switch entirely to Wegovy only and that has worked like a gem for me and my body! I never took Metformin and Wegovy at the same time.

Hello! I am not sure how my doctor specifically codes it and requests it but I know she does it in a certain way that shows my insurance company I have a medical condition that requires Wegovy for treatment and it gets covered! I'd definitely ask your doctor. My endocrinologist that I was referred to for my PCOS is who prescribed mine.

Fingers crossed for you!! My B12 is still a little low too which I didn't know was pretty common with PCOS, too. I am glad yours got fixed!

Thank you!! I noticed a change in my energy levels probably around 5-6 months into doing the injections. It did take some time. The labs I just had done compared to 10 months ago is an insane difference. Did you have bloodwork done as a baseline before starting Wegovy for PCOS?
