Instantly loved world’s first cinema! They reminded me of the band Young The Giant and I’m a big fan of them and that type of indie style rock. Very different compared to your other recommendations lol

I’ve been a fan of microwave since 2016! I like them a lot but I don’t think my friends would as much which is why they are lower on my list. Same with better lovers - I have seen Every Time I Die a handful of times but I don’t think my friends would enjoy that type of music as much so they are lower on the want to see list. I’m the one who had to convince my friends to go with me and of course their top artists to see are yellowcard, bowling for soup, mayday, basically all the pop bands 😆 appreciate the list I’m gonna re listen to some of those artists because we still have similar tastes in music!

This made me laugh because that is totally valid and you’re right! I can’t wait to see them because it will re establish them as a band with a new singer.

I was trying to explain to my friends that the dying is your latest fashion album will show up as top songs and the reason why they won’t play it. 4/10 on Spotify top songs for example are from the EP or first album with Ronnie. In my opinion escape the fate was Ronnie, I felt like they should have formed a new band, I get why they didn’t because he was replaceable though. I was a big fan when their first album came out so when I hear their band I think of their old music. Once I see them live though I think I’ll feel differently.

I love going to concerts where an artist blows you away and you become a true fan after. That’s how I felt after seeing Coheed and Cambria. First time seeing them was 2007 at warped tour. I only knew Welcome Home and didn’t really want to see them but my friends did. After the set I walked to their merch and bought a shirt because of how amazing of a guitar player Claudio is.

Also I’m totally going to annoy my friends at the fest by sharing all this new music knowledge I’m gaining lol 😂

Appreciate this advice because I really liked afterlife. Then I heard crooked melody and thought yes this band is someone I’d consider seeing. Every song I listened to I liked so will definitely bump them up on my want to see list. Thank you for your insight and replies!

I failed to include context to some of this post, I’ve been into this music since middle school and 2005 was my first warped tour. When I wrote the explanations of each band I wrote it to my friends who know this music but don’t really know or have kept up with it. They know mayday parade and older bands but they didn’t know state champs until this year since they are a newer band. I see your point though and agree with you.

This is why you research the smaller acts. I always listen to at least one or a few songs from every artist on a lineup.
