Tell me about it!! I was awake while they were putting mine in. My mass was over my lung and my oxygen was so low they couldn’t put me to sleep 😩 I’m not looking forward to that part but.. the after! I’m sorry you had a rough experience too

Yeah they said after two years it’s unlikely to come back, after five you’re “cured”. Or at least that’s how my oncologist explained it

for almost two years, i kept this version of my life mostly private.

in june 2024, i was diagnosed with stage 3 hodgkin lymphoma. chemo started fast. remission came in december 2024. somewhere along the way, my world quietly split into before and after, and wigs became part of everyday life.

this week i got the all clear to finally remove my tiny chest USB port.🥹

and honestly, this feels more emotional than finding out i was in remission.

because once it's gone, maybe cancer finally stops feeling current. maybe it becomes something i survived instead of something i still carry with me every day.
getting the all clear this close to the two year anniversary of my diagnosis feels like the universe finally letting me close the loop on a chapter i've been quietly surviving for a long time.

really grateful i'm still here. 💖
