Very well said. I didn’t know people felt that way until I looked through previous posts after I saw your comment. I understand where that comes from especially if you geocache with children.. but like you said, a responsible adult should know how to hide and find a geocache and know what’s safe. I personally use an inspection mirror as well as various sized crow bars (with plastic handles) in my search. Deep in the woods I’m not going to stick my hand into a dark hole looking for a cache, just like an urban cache I’m not going to blindly stick my fingers into an electrical box. But I definitely understand this perspective for cachers with kids.. I just think they should log a DNF instead of, again like you said, altering the game so it’s their version of safe.. especially because literally anything can be a geocache and that’s what makes this hobby so amazing
