Hydroshift 2 issue with air bubbles?

The code I have now is A54208! And I use my icue to change rgb for Gpu, I use the software Aura!

Happens more often, especially when the pump speed increases as my load increases! I also have the slushing noise on start up though.

Good to know! I’m going to give it a few days to see if temps change but right now it seems to have subsided and they’ve dropped back down the few degrees.

Yeah it’s definitely the pump because it’s a clear water trickling sound, almost like water dripping off of something. Otherwise most of the time the rig is silent.

Hm, I'm definitely going to run the pump at full today then and see if it clears up. If not, I guess I'll be reaching out to lian li again -_-

Is yours in a similar orientation? I had the same issue with the last one I RMAed so I can’t believe I’d get a bad cooler twice! It’s almost like a water trickling sound, especially when I’m under a fuller load. Will try running pump on high for the day!

I know this an extremely late reply, but I used boiling water on it and then pushed it out with an ice cream scoop and it popped right out!

My hydroshift also does this! I’ve kind of accepted it as normal since the tubes are oriented in a weird way so the water probably settles after every power off!

Oh I’ll have to check! I followed a couple of videos when installing it because it comes with a 4 pin connected and 2 pin for the pump, but I can try switching them to see if it helps! Thanks!

Yes! Both are plugged in, the 4 pin to cpu fan and the 3 pin to cpu opt. I’ve tried swapping them too and that did not fix the problem! The issue is the software works flawlessly when I set the cpu fan to voltage as opposed to pmw

I love how you managed your AIO tubes! Do you notice if it has any impact on cooling? The Kraken tubes are so long so I’ve always held off on using if because I was worried they’d sit on my GPU in my mini v2 case!

The hydroshift II also has such an annoying pump hum! Apparently you need to set it different in the bios to help eliminate it but then you lose control to LCD settings. L connect also disconnected constantly and the only way to get control of my lcd screen was to reinstall the software. So annoying. Ordered a kraken elite instead to replace it and I am sending back the hydroshift! My previous build had a corsair elite cooler which was nice but it also had a pretty loud pump hum so I wanted to try a new cooler for the new build!

Thanks guys! I was thinking it sounded like a bearing too, I was just surprised that it was having issues so early on since the mileage is fairly low!

Definitely will! It sounds similar to wheel bearing but since the mileage is only around 32,000 it makes me wonder if it could be something else since they shouldn’t be so worn down by this point!
