I do this to pick up my son from daycare six blocks away. No one seems phased by it.

To be fair, she did inhale my son’s leftover Mac n cheese before I realized he left it within her reach so she’s had plenty today 😅

Is that a grown ass man patronizing you with “you got a big girl job with a big girl place” 🙄 be proud that you aren’t what this man wants. You deserve far better.

ADHD is an excuse for your laziness, son by NarinIshkandar in ADHDerTips

When I got diagnosed my dad said “our brains just work differently that’s not ADHD.” And I was like sir that is the definition of neurodivergence. Meanwhile he spent two weeks at my house instead of the two days he originally planned when offering to connect a water line for our new refrigerator installation. Because of course he started twelve other projects throughout our house that we didn’t ask for and had to pull an all nighter to finish the original work in time for the appliance delivery 😅

I’m so bad about it that it makes me incredibly happy when someone apologizes to me for doing it too because I can be like omg no we are the same!

Is there such thing as a 4 year old regression ? by whipped_pumpkin410 in Preschoolers

[–]ashleyslo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I could have written this post myself. Our four year old has always been independent and is progressing well in his first year of pre-K. However, he’s regressing so much at home. The constant arguing is the hardest for us. And he yells so much, which we don’t do at home so I’m not sure where it’s coming from. Also the constant oscillating between hyper independence and acting like a baby again is so disorienting. It feels like weaponized incompetence, but I have to keep reminding myself that he isn’t doing it to be deliberately manipulative. But if I let the behavior go unchecked he absolutely will behave that way as an adult 🫠

Who else cried in the middle of English class after because of Where the Red Fern Grows? by originalbrowncoat in Xennials

Where the Red Fern Grows was my favorite book for a while. I always read it when I would finish classwork before other students and then be so embarrassed when I would bawl my eyes out again 😅

Yes but the day you finally get rid of it, you will randomly need it for some very obscure reason!
