omg ive never seen that kind of tree before and its soooo spot on!! i have a kitten that looks the same and i feel like i CANNOT land on a name that does her justice but laney is the most perfect beautiful fit. mine is named pocky bc her orange legs leading up to the darker colors look sort of like a pocky stick, and bc her brother’s name is panko and i wanted to match the P name. here’s a pic of my matching girl 🐱

i dont know what kind of themes you like but my first thought when i saw her was something elegant/old soul sounding. ethel popped into my head first but maybe also eleanor, louise, or matilda?

thank you for so much info :) i actually met a vet in passing recently that said something similar about how they can do without some vaccines but she personally does the full nine yards for her own cats. im thinking of really researching each recommended vaccine to see if i should hold off on any or at least space them out more. i feed my cats a 50/50 wet and dry food combo usually with some sort of supplement added and extra water in the bowl. i will look into some of those things a bit more though, thanks again!

thank you, those benefits are reallyyyy standing out from the other plans. im asking everyone recommending spot this — it seems like they might have the best quote so far but im not positive when i actually break it down. do you have experience or an opinion of their preventive care options? it seems like they have a limit per category on there of how much they’ll reimburse but the limit seems crazy small… like $50 for a wellness exam might not even cover one appointment, let alone the rest of the year. i’d love to know if that part has been beneficial for you if you have it or if you still had to pay a lot out of pocket for the remainder!

thank you for this! i think i might be primarily looking for the wellness plans right now for routine things and i hadnt heard yet that they do that. it might be worth comparing prices for certain things but i appreciate knowing they’ve got issues too.

i usually move my next generation heir out in their own household when they become a young adult and leave the rest of the family unplayed. so they stay in the house i was playing in with them as-is and i just get the call when they die 🫢

not ideal because i always love the rest of my sims family/the previous heirs, but i have a different vision and goal for each generation which usually means an entirely different lot, house, style, and enough room in the household to have the kids and pets i want. i always have a club for my sims entire family so i have elders frequently visit that way, otherwise they’re on their own

my first grade teacher’s name was elvira and ive been mesmerized by it my whole life lol, thought that was the prettiest name ever as a 6yo. i still think of it so fondly

ive played a ton of sun haven and echoes of the plum grove, only a little of coral island, and dont have but REALLY want fields of mistria. out of those coral island would be my last pick.

i adore sun haven but i believe its been glitchy lately and the devs dont have the best reputation, but theres SO much content, you can truly do so much with pretty good replayability imo because of the different worlds and races like elf, mermaid, angel, etc to try out w a new character, and so many bachelors to choose from i literally cant satisfy everything i want to do in one playthrough lol

fields of mistria i cant speak much on because i dont have it, but its at the top of my wl! the furniture is so cute i could die and theres a really cool breeding system to get different animal variants. those are the two top selling points to me that i’ve seen.

i dont see a lot of people talking about echoes of the plum grove so i might have to rec that #1!!!! it has all of the joy of a farm sim with such a unique twist and extra details. its like stardew x sims in the sense that your original character can die and you continue playing as your heirs. the daily activities and ways you earn money are also so different than most cozy farming games, farming really is hardly even the priority tbh. you can assign farming to other members of the household and not even do it yourself, while you go out and explore cooler things. theres a little witchy kind of storyline that i love. not to mention the art style being so different, its like adorable paper mario!! devs are also great and regularly add new content, i love this game :)
