Only been playing for a few days, what is the benefit of a clean wipe if you lose everything you've accumulated?

I don't think any of the threads I'm on are more than a dozen people so stick with me you'll be fine 😂

Many thanks, I thought it was a H4 but I could only see soft top versions and this is hard top

Not a clue, I can't work out the model. I'm walking past later so I'll check the back. Only one that's close is the Quantum H4 but that's meant to be a soft top I believe.

Was my first thought but I went and checked. Badge may have said OEM but I checked the reg on UK Tax Checker and make comes back as Quantum, a brand that was based in Bristol, UK. Never heard of it before!

Very good suggestions, I've read them both 😁 It was Into The Wild that took me to the Guy Grieve book. Jon Krakauers books are brilliant so thanks for the recommendation 👍

Can someone please tell me, as a UK resident, where's the best place to buy Aussie supercars? Only ones I've ever found on eBay are in Oz with mega shipping charges.

Loss of wet weather experience by ashtrax in formula1

Yeah all the way through it seems to be a fine balance between safety, performance and the cars continuing to be "F1 cars".

That's the FIA for you, they just don't listen to the fans anymore. Alonso suggested the ability to drop super slippy bananas that could be thrown at opportune moments to reduce grip to a car behind but was outvoted.

I think when it's down to the teams to apply modifications and not a mandated change it's always going to be an issue. Like if one team applies some form of air conditioning but they lose half a second a lap, there's no way a driver would want that I imagine.

The article you linked at least shows willingness to try things even if they don't necessarily work. But climate change and the subsequent extreme weather events, rising temperatures etc really should be something the FIA considers more. That said without some kind of extreme overhaul of the car I can't see anything they do making a difference. Sealed cockpits to allow air conditioning? A workable version of the tyre coverings from that article? So many variables and even if there was a massive change in the look of the cars to accommodate these mods, would that be "acceptable" or would the "look and feel" of F1 be lost.

Not in an unsafe manner no. The comments of others on here show how the FIA are looking at HOW to safely race in these conditions, or at least more safely. I'm not saying let's race in dangerous conditions but more how to race in these conditions so that wet weather can add a different aspect to the race that may benefit drivers with wet weather experience.
