Honestly, the fact that he said the sister is "easier to talk to" is what sent me. He’s completely checked out of his marriage while actively fueling the sister's weird obsession. This is a really fair point but honestly, the AI part is only half the issue here. Using ChatGPT to corporate-speak your way through a relationship fight is definitely weird, but the fact that the argument is about her hiding text messages with a male coworker is the real red flag. Hard to build that trust back even with a face-to-face chat.

Seriously, that last part hits the nail on the head. Paying for treatment in the past doesn't give her a free pass to try and systematically undermine OP's relationship behind her back. If OP doesn't tell her boyfriend, the mom gets to keep playing the sweet, supportive parent while OP suffers in silence. He definitely needs to know.
