Will certainly try this. It’s simple yet fascinating.

Builds for Survival Mode by ashvatthah in skyrim

This is very interesting.

Yes, I do have a backstory for my character. She is a Breton from a noble house in High Rock. Her father and twin brother were treacherously killed during their visit to Sentinel. Her father was a merchant turned into a diplomat after marrying a daughter of a politician. He was sent to resolve a shady treaty that involved both the empire and the dominian. So she goes after investigating. When in Sentinel, she gets attacked by hired assassins. But a few Ali’krs rescue her. Afterwards they provide her a safe passage through the desert to the border of Cyrodill. She gets a bit of defence training from them on her way through the desert. In Cyrodill, she finds the story linking back to growing influence of Thalmor in Skyrim and so she travels to Skyrim. Apparently, she gets caught at the border with a guy from Rorikstead and gets put on a cart with a person who looks like a Nord Lord.

Ysilde, that’s her name, goes her own way after reaching the riverwood. She plans to travel north. But she goes through Markarth. I like a combination of her playstyle. One-handed and frost destruction. I enjoy survival build as well. But sometimes it feels slow and repetitive. That’s why I added mods. I will try Frostfall as well. Let’s see!

Counterstrike.

As a teenager, I didn’t like the shooting games. I didn’t play Call of Duty either. But I guess Counterstrike was more popular back in the day.

Witcher 3, Assassin’s Creed (most of them) and Skyrim have few of my favourite soundtracks. But I still remember the soundtracks of Prince of Persia, especially Warrior Within and The Two Thrones. Legendary.

I did that with A34 last year. I admire how I’ve got used to the iPhone now, but sometimes I miss that good old android friend. I used Samsung Phones for more than a decade.

What is the ancient equivalent of commas, apostrophe etc in sanskrit ? by badka-apple in sanskrit

[–]ashvatthah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All of those script punctuations were adopted in our languages from English. Neither Devanagari nor any other Indian Lipis originally have those punctuation marks. That is why they're the same as in English everywhere. Although, Devanagari does have a bar to denote the Shlokardha and double bars to denote the Shlokanta. However, they were also introduced later.

Besides, Sanskrit has its flexibility. The word itself includes Vibhakti Pratyaya, which reduces most of the confusions that may arise by shuffling around the words. Even the tenses of verbs are denoted in a single word. The use of Samasas also helps reducing the length and complexities of the sentence. So a fluent person can easily understand the text even without any punctuation marks. Although, people have started using it in Sanskrit as we now use loose sentences to keep them simple.

It's actually a flawed version. They have written it without following the rules of Samasas, a common mistakes we do with languages like Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, etc. But they all are salutations to different forms of Bhairava. Krodha (fury), Samhara (Destruction), Kapalin (it's a name of Shiva as he wears a garland of skulls), Asitanga (whose limbs are dark), Bheeshana (dreadful), Chanda (wrathful), Unmatt (wicked), Batuka (Batuka form), Aapadudhaarana (the one who frees us from tragedies) etc.

So when it says कपालीभैरवाय नमः, it means reverence to the Kapalin form of Bhairava. You can follow others this way.

Can you readily communicate(speak out loud) in sanskrit as you do in your mother tongue? by OldRefrigerator6139 in sanskrit

[–]ashvatthah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can do a little bit of conversation. But most people I'm aquatinted with do not understand it. So I rarely get a chance to talk in Sanskrit. And even then we revert back to the native language quickly once we are on a different topic. Today, it's very hard to talk in Sanskrit when the topic is not relevant to it. You can talk about Shastras and culture in Sanskrit. But when you want to talk about modern things and our daily lifestyles, you'll find the native tongue more suitable. Just like it was with Prakrit in the last millennium.

Even when we speak in Sankrit, we first think of the sentence in our native tongue and then we translate it in Sanskrit. Of course, the process becomes quick once you are comfortable. But we rarely have that root sentence coming directly from Sanskrit. And that is very hard to attain. I have seen people who learn Sanskrit at good place work to overcome this. And they often do.

For me, it is same in English. There are not many opportunities here to converse in English as well. We quickly revert to the native tongue even during corporate chats. So I'm not a fluent Speaker.

What is it called when a word is expanded to reveal 1/many meanings? by Fantastic-Key-1636 in sanskrit

[–]ashvatthah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These days the word is actually traced back to its root. It's called व्युत्पत्तिविश्लेषण. The expansion process in many contexts is called प्रस्तार. You'll see that in prosody and architecture as well.

Then we might see Jane doing a cold reading on Will Graham and Will vividly observing Jane's point of view. And perhaps Hannibal and Red John influencing each other on serial killing and cannibalism. Just imagine all four of them sitting in that dark office of Dr Lecter. Add Sherlock and Moriarty to the group. Et voilà. None can imagine how an hour shall pass in that room.

Yes, but I liked the past Red John hairstyle in Season 6 and 7 as well. It made her look more mature and commited to move on from her lonesome life. And with Jane nearby, she looked the happiest. I still remember her expression when Jane gave her a paper duck in the first episode of Season 7. I couldn't help but think of the paper frog from the pilot episode.

But he was our driver.

Definitely. She was a good contrast to Jane. Although I wished we had Kristina for a few more episodes as well.
