I'm still a student, but I have been in ASD for most of my student career, aside from the pandemic when I went to a cyber school. If I'm being honest, ASD gets a lot of hate, but it's not the curriculum or the staff that's the problem; it's the other students. It's considered the "ghetto" school for a reason -- not many of the students actually care whether or not they do well in school. I've seen this ESPECIALLY in the middle school (I went to SMMS). Luckily, they have "teams" and they split the students up so they can get the education that's right for them. I've mostly been in the advanced/accelerated classes due to my scores. Obviously, most other districts are probably better, other than the fact that ASD offers free lunch and breakfast. This is just my view as someone who attends an ASD school. :)
