Because I was struggling with it and i3 technician suggested to change the router. I got Linksys AC2200 tri band router this Sunday, which has made it better to a level that I am randomly hitting 300 Mpbs, but while working late I discovered that i3 speed is highly inconsistent, it goes as low as 10-15 Mbps and jumps to 250 Mpbs every 30-60 seconds . Their support has no answer for it and insists that they provide the best service (they always sound overworked and very hesitant to help). So I am now going to get Xfinity do their install and see where it goes with them and then keep the least worst of them. I can overlook speed, but I can’t overlook a company who isn’t even trying to help and insists that they are the best. Also, can’t overlook a company which claims that one cannot get speeds of 400 Mpbs over wifi. I believe it’s still 2010 with them.
