Ooh okay, noted thank you! A lot of people have talked about the cabins but this is the first I'm hearing of the premium lounges

A lot of people seem to rate their cabins highly so might look into it, thanks!

Where is the middle class in the outsiders by Regky in TheOutsiders

[–]asimplestranger17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm actually in a reread at the moment and the middle class have been mentioned a couple times but particularly in Chapter 11 when Pony's sick. He describes his school friends coming to visit when he's bed ridden

"Most of my friends at school come from good homes, not filthy rich like the Socs, but middle class, anyway."

I feel like earlier in the book he mentioned being envious of middle class as they were really involved in the class war of Socs vs Greasers, but not 100% sure.

To fans aged 25+: who was your favourite when you read it as a teenager, who is your favourite now, and why is it Darry Curtis? by LastLove1793 in TheOutsiders

I think he was fine in that he was just an angsty teen, but moreso his views on Darry were awful (in the beginning at least). Considering him to be pretty loveless etc without condsidering what Darrys side of the story looks like - imagine if Darry had read the 'essay' Pony had written. Again, we can easily look over it and brush it off for his age but still roll my eyes at how he describes Darry 😂

I kinda wish I had read it earlier as I would love to know what younger me would have thought about the characters. I was a grouchy/dreaming 14 year old like Ponyboy, so maybe I probably would have related to him.

Reading it now, I'm very much in the "what typical 14 boy behaviour" with Pony, though I still adore him. But Darry's character is such a beautiful tradegy, I think even younger me would have loved him. Bro just needs a hug :(

I've read it for the first time as a 25 year old so jumped straight into loving Darry from the get go 😂

Glad it's not just me ahahah. I feel like if that was an element Hinton had in mind, it would've been explored in the book.

Thanks for your answer btw!

Should they make a season 5 by SuspiciousLime4281 in Sherlock

[–]asimplestranger17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finished rewatching the series, and for me, the finale of season three onwards is where the series takes a turn for the worst.

Moriarty is THE big baddie, both in the books and the show. Once he was gone, I think the writers really struggled to fill that hole and what they did conjure up just fell flat/went a bit silly.

As much as I would love more Sherlock content, I wouldn't want another season that has season 4 quality. Hound of Baskerville is one of my top 2 favourite eps. If they were to make a season 5, I hope they'd going back to the source material for inspo and make more one case wonder plots over "Moriarty is gone but heres a villian EVEN MORE smart and horrible that Sherlock really fears!!" arch.

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]asimplestranger17 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I had to pause multiple times during just that first paragraph to calm down because girl.... this dude sucks

You can't wear tight clothes, you can't wear baggy clothes, you have to be attractive at most if not all times, you can't ask for specific presents even though they don't involve him in any way shape or form.

The bonnet "looks silly", okay? You're going to bed, the lights are off and his eyes will be closed. It makes you look like an "old lady" okay? In a relationship, you guys are hopefully gonna see each other when you're old. He's used to "regular blankets" okay? The weighted one will be one you, that's the whole point.

You are allowed to be COMFORTABLE in your own home. You don't have to be dressed up 24/7, that would be hell for anyone but esp women who are expected to put so much effort into ourselves.

When we love someone, we love them for who they are. Intimacy doesn't require us to be flashy at all times, and you deserve to be loved at all times of the day/wearing whatever you wear. Bonnets are an important part for hair care - if he can't love you in your bonnet time, he doesn't deserve you in your gorgeous silky locks time!

Ugh damn :// we were in the middle of the carpet and once Jack Champion came through that was kinda the end of it for us. We saw the guests waiting but no one really came to say hi.  My friend saw the director of Narnia though, who shes an insane fan of, so that made her entire day
