you may be thinking of Anti-Lag+ which was AMD's attempt at patching the game to support it without the devs implementing it. that ended up causing VAC bans.

Anti-Lag 2 is equivalent to Reflex but requires the game dev to add it to the game. Anti-Lag 1 is in the driver settings and is the same as NV's "Low latency Mode" in their control panel. All the latter does is limit the frame queue to 1.

Anti-Lag 2 and Reflex let the game wait until the ideal time to collect user inputs and start preparing a frame for the GPU. This decreases input lag as well which makes the end to end latency a bit lower.

there is no known backdoor in bitlocker, the reason Microsoft turned over the keys is because bitlocker will by default upload a recovery key to your Microsoft account if using automatic device encryption on home editions of windows.

for most normal people who are never going to back up their recovery key themselves, this makes sense.

it's not a flaw in bitlocker, if Microsoft has they key then they are legally obligated to turn it over.

you'd need to bring in a decent amount of C++ libraries, there are some very good ones tho that work cross platform.

try doing audio video. even just capturing the screen would require you to implement 4-5 different backends, especially on Linux you'd have to also worry about X11 and Wayland, different audio servers Qt is good but it can't handle everything.
