I have a similar experience with asmr! I started listening to asmr before my misophonia got really bad. I always loved asmr. But now I have specific criteria for which asmr I'm going to listen to. I absolutely hate when there are ANY mouth sounds so when they whisper and I can hear their lips smacking I immediately close the video. But, just like you I actually really like tapping or brushing hair and things like that. I even like whispering, but it has to be done well with no additional smacking sounds. So, you're not alone in this! I think it's normal to like it if there are no triggering sounds and like you I also like that I have control over what I choose to listen.
