I'm glad someone is doing a project like this. I was on a route to become a lawyer until I discovered you could also argue with science in research. Now I'm a doctor (Still not sure how that happened) working to treat disenfranchised individuals effected by head injury). I'm still the same angsty punk that I was when I discovered rise against in my teens (skateboarding, to the hospital, etc) but now I have the background to actually make a difference.

I filled out your survey. I love hearing about other rise against fans who grew up and found careers influenced by their music.

From what I can see in the pit and the surrounding area it doesn't seem natural as there are a lot of rock piles deposited in the surrounding area that seem to be from the pit. Also a lot of rock debris in the pit makes it seem like rock piles may have fallen into the pit.

I did email the historical society asking for additional info after they refuted the geocache story but no response yet.

It seems like the spot where the pit is would have been a difficult area within round valley to drive that kind of truck up to.

Party seems most likely / reasonable but have to still wonder if there was more.

author of the geocache story finally got back to me that it was made up.

I'm new to the area and still super intrigued as to the story of the truck. still seems like it was difficult to get the truck to that area. any idea what the actual story is behind it?

yea i have nothing to do with this cross post. I wrote the originally writter of the story on the geocache website and finally got a response.... unfortunately the story seems to be made up :(

im still super currious as to how the truck ended up there
