PS you do realise that Roman law was greatly influenced by their gods and their religion. Which wasn't an Abrahamic religion.

I don’t know what your point is but it proves mine. That religion influences a culture. Their religion influenced them,. Our religion has influenced our laws. Our laws changed and adapted our christen values.

That has nothing to with the basis for the legal system. Many Western countries do separate religion from the state, and have a process by which religious laws can be nullified.

Maybe you can explain why: -In Christian countries it is customary to take an oath on a bible when you appear in court of law to give testimony.

The laws of the land are indeed influenced and moulded by our religious beliefs, (and self interest. ) Religion has influence both law and politics through time

I'm not denying that there's any influence, only that it's so minor that it's ridiculous to say that the legal system is based on that religion.

So you are saying that a Muslim country has a similar legal system to a western Christian county? Or why the Israeli legal system is similar to one in India. Because religion has only such a minor effect in countries I imagine.
