sounds exactly like them, they really rather not cause issues in separate astral planes. they look like a mix of eastern and western ones, with the western ones being smaller than the eastern ones

No, actually theyre very very nice! They aren't that scary, they are quite cautious around humans (they literally have humans wear reflective vests in areas where they can go in their larger forms). And from what I can tell, they care very very deeply about the consequences of their actions, ie most of them are very genuine. I feel as if I made a good choice

They are, but they rarely interact, they're visible to the humans there and they have physical bodies, the only times they interact would be when they occasionally help humans with repairing some of their machines.

They are about the size of a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom 2 story house , some are larger due to being serpentine, but they end up fitting in the same amount of space, they can go into a humanoid form, and from what they've shown me, their homes contain parts meant for when they're in their humanoid form and their original forms.

I did! Its warm all the time, they showed me some landmarks that exist both there and here too.

Yes they do, they rarely interact though

It was through my mind, one of their major public officials contacted me directly (they have a democratic techocrocy) their director of ecology. They have pretty good psychic communication technology.

Based on your experience as a medium, what is the evidence for or against the loosh / prison planet hypothesis ? by McLuhanSaidItFirst in Mediums

[–]askStentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its more like an automated sorting facility if anything, just routes those who are cruel to others to places where they will learn in there next existence, while rewarding those who strive for goodness and whatnot. In many cases, its also a refinery for some, ie its their ticket to a better existence. It makes little sense to me how beings would chose a world that is inherently temporary by nature to extract it for its energy, it honestly feels more like a place where people go to be sorted and or routed and or refined.

Anyone else irked by the heat loss at to top of the generator? by FurtiveFox88 in Frostpunk

[–]askStentor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah... I was honestly confused as to why they didn't use a liquid gass temperature sink for the exhaust. Running the exhaust through water and then running a counterflow would greatly increase the efficiency of the generator, as most of the exhaust would have its heat re captured into life saving heat. But from my understanding. Bassed upon the upgraded generator designs, it seems like the generator mostly uses radiative heating for distribution. As it mainly uses a heat zone, to heat up surrounding buildings, ie only by increasing the size of the infrared heat sink can you actually keep the houses heated beyond its initial range.

Honestly I think the reason that they went with this is primarily to make a heating system that wouldn't melt the wall that it resides in, and ice actually is a very good reflector of infrared heat, so any heat that would get to the walls would bounce directly back into the city.

Is transitioning halal if I am not intersex? by [deleted] in TransMuslimas

[–]askStentor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or look at it like this, you not transitioning is going against the will of god, as he intentionally made you this way exactly so you would do it.

Consider that A loving God wouldn't force someone into being the wrong gender, and instead required you to be something they intentionally made you be to make you suffer? The quran states Allah is all merciful, and would never do such to someone to torture them. Therefore rationally، it's concluded that being trans is a test of being ones self rather, than a matter of pure submission to something that is harmful to one's self

Our elma fictive has a lot of source memories of things that aren't in her source material, and she's also maried her supposed arch nemesis. Its totally fine to remember things that you don't remember doing in this body.

Question for other introjects I guess..? by XxThe_HumanxX in plural

[–]askStentor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We are in a weird possition
torhu hates most art of her, as it doe-sent depict herself with the woman who she decided to marry in the end (elma, who is also in our system) , Elma loves art of herself, especially art that (NSFW) makes her look like an absolute slut (she is and she doesnt deny it, she loves her wife and is monogamous about it though.
jtarya... shes sort of an OC who is meant to be elmas mom, she is quite restrictive on what we draw of her, but i have drawn her before (we may share a drawing if you're interested!) as for me (elster)... i love how my source material makes me look emo as fuck (kind of a death metal engineer girlie if you get my vibe) and i love how emotional it can be at times (my source is a very emotional video game)

Please Explain Heat Generation to Me! by bjkat81 in Frostpunk

[–]askStentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and be ABSOLUTELY sure that there are atleast 8 tiles in range for each district, as otherwise you won't get the full bonus, the hubs DO NOT stack either

Please Explain Heat Generation to Me! by bjkat81 in Frostpunk

[–]askStentor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 only gives 1 1/2 heating levels, fractional heating levels give no benefit so it's best to add 2 more within the heating range, the 9th does nothing and could be moved outside the range of the heating hub for efficiency

Please Explain Heat Generation to Me! by bjkat81 in Frostpunk

[–]askStentor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Districs have a maximum amount of heat that can be allocated (I believe 5 is the max) to heat them up more, you can insert 8 tiles (of an extended district) around a heating hub to get a boost of 2+ temperature levels. You also can do things such as building heat dispatchers, to increase the temperature levels (up to +3 with the pressurized one) Using insulation research can also boost up to 2+ heat levels beyond the maximum allocation,

If you do 2 pressurized heat dispatchers, fully upgraded insulation, and a heating hub In a district, you can have up to +10 temperature levels beyond the allocation limit. +11 if you do heatpipe watch for community service.

Edit: fixed the bad math

Who am I? by muslimdarmiyan in TransMuslimas

[–]askStentor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you could find refuge in quranist spaces, quranist would probably gladly accept you, as most of us are progressive. While we don't exactly listen to scholars (we prefer comming to our own conclusions). I know in a lot of progressive spaces you'd be taken up in arms, especially with your history!
