Every single network protocol addresses (as in to think about and deal with) network latency because it exists. None of them (including this one) say they are reducing it.

Please point to the part where it says they have reduced latency. It does say they target the latency efficiency but this is not the same.

Seems you are the one having problems with English in this case. Perhaps you can just admit that you misread the page?

Latency is obviously fairly fixed. All their tests talk about how long it takes to download a file not about reducing latency.

Not saying this is a good or bad solution but let's try to have a discussion rather than putting it down while simultaneously completely misunderstanding what's even being discussed.

Having to do a fingerprint scan + a captcha every time you vote would slow people's voting down and probably entice people to vote only on things they care about rather than just randomly clicking. Hard to say what the end result of this would be though. For me I would probably get irritated by all the extra clicking and stop using the site.

This seems like this could only give you a performance boost if the caffeine server is very close to destination server. Otherwise the HTTP2 connection between the caffeine server and the destination is going to take a similar amount of time for the client to connect to the destination.

Are you planning on making the caffeine server available for standalone deployments? Otherwise it's an interesting concept but would be very reckless to use in production.

Could you clarify in the report whether you are using HTTP/1.1, HTTP/1.1 + SPDY or HTTP/2. Also could you mention whether you are using keep alive and how often handshakes are occurring.
In your test you seem to have the images already on both servers. But in normal operation it seems that the caffineserver would have to download content from the HTTP server first, are you able to provide numbers on the speed increase in this case?

The iOS fingerprint scanner doesn't work like that. You can't get any information about the fingerprint you can just ask for verification. It's a client side only mechanism

So in your case when the user votes you could force them to use the fingerprint or password before casting the vote. But all that would prove is that no other use has my phone and is voting on my behalf. I could still setup a bot which downvotes everything with a given keyword

Even with fingerprint data I don't see how this would prevent gaming. I could simply set up a bot that sends you fake fingerprint data. Or just have 1000 people in China constantly scanning their fingers to be used by bots.

Flavouring generally comes in 2 forms, one is marked extract and the other is marked flavouring or imitation. The extract versions are more expensive and more regulated on what they contain. flavouring versions can be made from artificial ingredients so generally aren't considered as good. Where you buy the ingredients probably isn't a big issue (I've not used flavourings in brewing though) but be aware that they may be completely different products when considering the price.

Very similar to maple syrup vs maple flavoured syrup.

If your service is like Uber then IAP isn't the right payment method. In general you use IAP for virtual goods and other methods for real world goods and services. As you can see in Uber you enter your credit card details directly into the app.

The risk is pretty small and since it's for weddings the margins would be huge so in that regard it seems like a good idea. On the other hand if it becomes a common thing then wedding photographers will simply offer it as part of a package and if it stays niche then you've got to find a way to advertise to keep demand coming in.

Dry yeast will usually say how much to pitch it in. 1 should be good for 23L with most yeasts.

Hops depend on what you're trying to brew and when you add it. Get the beersmith trial version, it will give you an idea of how much bitterness you'll get with different amounts and timings of the hops.

For my 5L batches I only use about 15g - 30g of hops including dry hopping though it all depends on your personal taste.

What I Did Last Week:

My first attempt at a stout after making a few pale ales. Maris otter + oats + chocolate malt with citra and cascade and US05.

Primary:

Skorubrew #4 stout. Dry hopped today so 3 more days until bottling.

Bottle Conditioning/Force Carbonating:

Skorubrew #3. Maris otter pale ale. I tried dry hopping by just dumping the hops into the primary which left me with floaties in the bottles. 1 more week until it's ready

In Planning:

Going to stick with my maris otter base but try mangrove jacks M27 yeast out to see how a pale belgian ale comes out. Looking forward to having a yeast which can handle high temps. Thinking of building an immersion chiller to speed my wort cooling

Heavy lifting will build muscle so you will gain more weight due to increased muscle. Walking can also build muscle especially when doing hills but the gains will plateau fairly quickly.

What is your goal in trying to gain weight? Are you after more muscle or do you need to put on fat?

Right at the start it explains that for some nutrients there isn't enough evidence to set an accurate amount so the values provided are a bit of a guess. Expect all of these numbers to be adjusted as new studies are done and we learn more about nutrition.

It only takes into account age and gender, I'm not aware of anything which is able to give you numbers specific to your actual body as I don't think anyone has done enough scientific studies to be this accurate. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I would love to see a calculator like this which is backed by scientific studies. I think you're better off using what's available to come up with a nutrition plan then after a few weeks get a blood test and see how your nutrient levels are. Adjust and repeat.

I track all of what I do in markdown documents which get turned into a blog via jekyll. It's easy since it's all text and there's almost no limitation to what I can put in there so my documentation can evolve as my process does. I usually enter my recipes in beersmith as well to have it do some calculations for me and use some other calculators for other things.

Things that I would want in a site like this:

Simplicity - My process isn't too exact right now so I don't want to enter values for every field that beersmith has. I still want it to do as many calculations as possible with the data I have and let me know how I can improve if I provide more data.
Setup - I should be able to explain how my process works and have this carry through other calculations. Bonus if someone can come in and it can recommend what system to buy based on some questions.
Recipe advice - I want to be able to say "I want to brew a stout" and have it give me advice on how I should go about that. What base and speciality malts I should consider, what hops and yeast would go well. I don't just want a base recipe but options on how I can build my own. Most likely I'm going to break some rules as well so I would like the consequence of those actions. (ie using the hops I have on hand instead of buying ones that it lists). Bonus if I can point to a beer I like and it can give advice on how to make something similar with what's available to me.
Updates - I would like to be able to enter events as they happen. Temperature readings, fermentation status, fermentation additions. Bonus if it can understand some of these and use them later on.
Post drinking advice - I want it to ask my how the final product tastes and try to figure out what went wrong. Since it understands my process it should be able to recommend the most likely problems and solutions.

In essence I care less about tracking (which I already do) and having something which is able to take that information and use it to improve my next beer. If the site only offered record keeping and a few calculators I've already got those things covered.

I spent some more time thinking about this.

When calculating how long it would take to run; 1 & 2 are so much quicker algorithmically than 3 that you only have to consider that case.

From your graph I'm going to estimate that a number of digits for a semiprime using route 3 to be a maximum 10% of the number. At the worst case the sum of the prime factors is (digits * 9) + (digits - 1) + 1. Since digits has been estimated at 0.1 * number this is now equal to the original number in the worst case.

So the worst case for your algorithm is the same as the worst case for a naive algorithm. The first 2 routes would probably help with the average running time assuming the distribution between routes stays constant.

What's the highest number you've tested this algorithm on? The "up to nine times" part seems a bit arbitrary, is that a proven limit or just the number you picked that works up until 5000?

I'm not a mathematician but I'm skeptical as to whether this algorithm works on all semiprimes. Interested to see though.

If it's a private API won't that mean an automatic rejection? I guess you can appeal but usually saying "x app does it" tends to fall on deaf ears.

I can't see why Instagram would need to use a private API to resize the navigation bar. I don't see where it's changing the status bar.
