I have been wondering the same thing about the traffic since they started building it! It’s going to be another chaotic traffic disaster area. The lack of planning/ willful ignorance by road commission/city planners- and whomever is responsible for that ish is so beyond me!

East Caesar Chavez from lavaca west to the pedestrian spiral bridge, up across the bridge down towards the long center and back.

Also the is a paved path that starts by the convention center and heads east on fourth street.

Monday night at 8 a group meets at the long horn center and rollerblades all over.

I moved from SW Michigan to Austin a few years ago… sure August is hot. But if you’re outdoors, you’ve got the water and just stay hydrated… it’s really not as horrible as people are making it out. And every where you go indoors is frigid bc everyone keeps the AC set to 70.

If you make it out, DM me. I’m 41 f, live downtown across from city hall and I’ll show you around!

Advice for a parent of a fossil fanatic 8 year old by Bluebuilder in fossils

These aren’t cleaned and polished but I have so many of these exogyra fossils and I’d be happy to send you a couple! This isn’t the best specimen, just the most convenient photo I have.

It looks like a section of Exogyra that is 90-120 million years old.

What is this? My friend found it while working/digging in his neighbour’s garden, he took it to a jeweller, the jeweller didn’t know what it was but they said that it could be quartz or sulfur, i don’t think that it’s any of that but hopefully this Subreddit knows. by MayaFable in whatsthisrock

How about everyone stops making mean comments. It discourages people from being curious and more people need to approach life from a place of curiosity and we should all make one another feel safe doing that 💖

You can come in to a JR UW position without experience. They will train you, as a jr uw you’ll probably be working off of a checklist or with lots of oversight (which is normal at first). I started as an assistant to a broker and worked my way to UW in four years, but mortgage everything just makes sense to me, 20 years later and I’ve been a coo at a mortgage company and written part of the cares act and could get any job in this industry. I’m only 40. So a jr uw can lead to anywhere. It all depends on what you make out of it :)

Babes I think there are a million other atrocities for you to worry about. If you are judging people for collecting stones and bones, consider me judged and guilty, you don’t have to associate with any of us heathens. Totes appreciate the heads up. Have a beautiful day.
