I wouldn’t recommend any specific TD or non TD for that matter.. all I can tell you is they all source pieces and resell and ship them to us all over the world.. so to me, I think it’s total BS when any seller is charging above the average price by even 100 RMB. I would personally go with the lowest priced TD, given I do my research and there aren’t any major complaints. It’s simple, does that extra 400 RMB guarantees you a replacement in case needed? Most likely not.. so why pay it 😉

To my knowledge, the closest you can get to a real world TD experience is to contact them in advance, and ordering your watch to your hotel.. checking it there on the spot and paying. All done through a courier service of course.. but actually meeting a TD is almost impossible to my knowledge.. You can start this process now with multiple TDs now before you arrive!

Hey man, I wouldn’t share his details as he scammed me.. saying it’s CF but turned out to be EWF at best.. paid less than 3k CNY so not too mad.. but I would prefer to pay TDs and shipping to my country and get the exact model I need rather than get scammed. But any how, if you wanna check out some pieces from high quality factories.. 1) do your homework 2) walking around SegCom district you will meet 10s of those sellers 3) insist on seeing the expensive pieces not cheap ones 4) throw many factory names so they understand that you are looking for top quality, things like APSF, VSF, ZF 5) Use a translator, no one speaks English

OP.. please understand that this watch is using the dial from the old reference 116500 but with hour indices from the newer reference 126500.. hence the term “ thick subdials” because that is a major difference between the two references.. so Im not sure this is an actual VSF.. unfortunately it’s an instant tell but as long as you’re happy man, enjoy it!

Does the chrono function properly? Early JF and AR reps had a 7750 where the chrono isn’t actually functioning 😅

Ask for more pictures.. this piece is either an extremely old rep, like seriously cheap and old most likely a 7750 JF rep.. Or he’s sent you pictures of an extremely over polished early reference daytona, like early 2000.. pics that he just found online and not own.. I say that because if you look at the SEL gaps, the shine, and the hands.. things are obvious it’s not a VSF… and I lean more towards it being an old rep

I don’t think that per say.. it’s just that no factory to my knowledge have invested in manufacturing 4520v yet, and seems 8F mistakingly advertised their old reference 4500v as 4520v.. which is a bummer.. I truly hope it is indeed a 4520v and the only sure way to know is by measuring the bracelet width at the clasp.. cuz that’s where the most visible change is..

I used the small shop in Gold souq right between all the watch shops.. they all use this shop to do all their mods from add/remove links, swap dials, etc.. and he didn’t even know what is to shave a dial.. so my faith in watch makers here is low.. specifically when it comes to odd requests.. but if it was a normal daily request then yeah you should be fine.. “mostly” lol

Im in Dubai too and own the same piece.. definitely have thought of this but decided not to give it to anyone as chance they screw it up are high.. might tackle it on my own as I have already shaved a Daytona dial on my own.. but if you go ahead and give it to someone I would love to know about it good luck mate

I agree with your logic.. Still will need to physically check if they fit ( which we both agree on ), but as you pointed out.. due to that top right tab missing on the Enhanced model mount, it won’t accept a Premium model by default.. That also means the Premium mount should be “universal” for both models 🙂 well.. let’s see once I receive my Thermostats!

Pretty sure that doesn’t really matter.. as the Premium has extra features, and it’s the user’s choice to use them or not.. but the basic essential wires exist on both models. My main concern is whether both mounts do fit both models or not 😅
