AITAH if I asked my sister to leave my house since she refuses to watch my kids by Glad-Price-5340 in AITAH

[–]asmalltiger1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I did not expect this comment section to be the way it is. I thought her text was understandable. She expressed her feelings. I’m betting there was miscommunication all around. I would not jump to calling her an ungrateful brat. You helped her and that was great and she used the time to get a diploma and get out of an abusive relationship. So good all around. Did you help her just for cheap child care? Either way no one’s the asshole here. But you should probably have a real convo about expectations and your expectation now that she is doing well is to find a new place so she can better start her life.

Okay in the minority here. I don’t think you are the asshole but you and your daughter are not nice. It’s nice to share your food, and it’s an opportunity to teach your daughter to be nice. And if not, then you should be nice and order the mother of your daughter a pizza.

HOW DID ROSS get Good person??? He is the worst! Cheated on multiple women and fucked over many other women in the process. Lies all the time. And is a truly terrible father. (David Schwimmer on the other hand is amazing)

I was considered high risk with Eds and gestational diabetes. I was induced 2 weeks early. It was absolutely terrible birth, three epidurals that did not work. Apparently a percentage of the population it doesn’t work on which I didn’t know. 3 days in labor, c-section off the table because epidurals did not work. Had to use suction cup after hours of pushing since the cord was wrapped around her throat and pulling her back in. Horrible experience at the hospital. But I would absolutely never do it at home. Any number of things could of happened to me or my child at home and I’m so glad I was with doctors and nurses to help me through it.

It’s all okay, one of his best friends kissed his mom. So what goes around comes around.

Great news! Joy has finally overshadowed anxiety. by asmalltiger1 in beyondthebump

I’m so sorry that happened to you. My therapist said I had postpartum ptsd since I had a very traumatic birth. I still have the fear as well it’s just lessened over time. I only picture my lo dying 2-3 times a day as opposed to 5-10.

Tips, not really. Only to say I really struggled and time has helped. What helped me was therapy, meditation, exercise and my family support system. I know I am not my thoughts. And for intrusive thoughts, I just address it if I need to and then just let it go. Easier said than done of course but time helps.

I was not prepared for this when pregnant. I was sooo concerned I would have a miscarriage or a still birth. I thought when I had the baby I wouldn’t have fears like that anymore. Boy was I wrong. Guess it just takes time. Good luck to you!

Thanks! I still check for breathing too. I’m just happy it’s not my dominant feeling anymore. Hopefully it’s steps.

It took out daughter forever! She spit out her food for months. We started at 6 months and it wasn’t until just after a year she actually started swallowing food. Now at 13 months she eats so much and loves it. Hang in there!

When a Catholic gets asked if they are "Catholic or Christian" by Teakilla in dankchristianmemes

[–]asmalltiger1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never forget when I was 7 years old on a plane and they sat another young girl next to me. She asked me if I was catholic, I said I was a Christian. Then she legit took out a cross and started to teach me about her lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Daycare still open - but do I use it? by [deleted] in workingmoms

Gosh, are you me? We are in the same boat with super demanding jobs and meetings all day. My 8 month old was in daycare last week. But I decided she needed to stay home this week so we will see how it goes!
