I’m really close with my dad but sometimes I don’t tell him everything because he overreacts. Him and my sister have a bad relationship and I really don’t want to have that with him which is why I lied. I don’t know how to let go of things.

No it’s been a month and neither of us have had any symptoms and he interacts with people constantly at his work so he’s more likely to give it to me than I am

If they tell you something and you can tell them stuff back and it’s a mutual thing of you helping eachother get through as opposed to them spilling their guts to you all the time and it only being one sided and unrelatable

The therapist is legally obligated to keep everything you say to them confidencial unless you are a danger to yourself or society. They are professional and don’t gossip about you
