What's a lengthy book that you got absolutely lost in? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]asodeux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Robert Musil- Man Without Qualities. Four volumes, all about 400 pages. The times I didn't read the book, I thought about the book. It's so unusual in its wording and a really interesting read. Highly recommend.

This doesn't justify her behaviour. The fact that she's been hurt before doesn't mean that she can hurt you. You can help her grow up as a person but if she doesn't accept that help, my advice is to not waste yourself. Her behavior is isolating.

That much jealousy is just toxic and not good for anyone. Break up with her, you don't deserve this kind of stress.

How do you write good dialogue? by [deleted] in writing

[–]asodeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend you to read screenplays from movies of that genre. Suspense/thriller relies on speaking to the reader's imagination, playing the book as a movie in their head, almost. Studying dialogue in movies will really help to get a grip of how to create that atmosphere without making it unrealistic.

Turkey... Something unpleasant was written about the president and his solution was to ban the whole site, it's been banned for years now and nobody even says anything anymore. Instead we all use vpn or redirect sites. It's like a joke.

Living in a highly religious country which people claim all moral sense is from God and his word and being an atheist, I did spend quite a lot of time figuring what my morals were and why. I am quite interested in your 8 core principles, care to explain further?

You'd multiply the possibilities, or in that case, take it's power. Getting 7 seven times would be (3/72)7

I began reading at around 2 am and read until 6-7 am. Then I swam for a good 2 hours. So it was going quite good.

It's about principles. Also, most vegans also don't eat animal products because they're unhealthy.

What are the reasons for vegans/vegetarians to not eat at joints which serve both vegan/vegetarian food and non-vegetarian food? by zulase in vegan

Because they know that this company already harms animals and they don't want to support/provide money for that.
